Grrr royal mail rant again...

teeheeyoucrazyguys!, 23 June, 2009 at 17:02 Posted on Planning 0 8

I recieved a letter from my florist today with one enclosed shredded envelope, one ripped cheque (her payment) and a RM envelope saying 'sorry your mail is damaged'

What worries me is that I sent an art deco sequin motif to add to my bouquet and I dont even know if shes received that, she only mentioned the cheque.. I'm awaiting her text reply but I'll be gutted of its gone as they came from the states....

I'm still waiting on a cheque from my hotel annnnnd a letter my driving instructor posted to me last Monday. How do I complain to RM??

Here's a link you might find useful for damaged mail

    http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/customerservice2?catId=69800733&mediaId=77300736

If it's general complaints you're after then

    http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?catId=69800720&mediaId=84400738

Hope that helps. But how annoying that this has happened.

PS - can you tell I've had numerous complaints against them?!?

I feel your pain.... but don't bother complaining, I went online to complain about my lack of paid for redirection service and got an email back saying they'd contact me with 24hours with an update but to no avail. I followed this up with a call and got another promise of a call back but this didn't happen either.... they are worse than useless.

I really hope the florist has got it.... did you send it recorded/registered? If not I'm not sure there's anything you can do as it won't be insured... it sucks and they suck big time.

Well the florist didnt recieve a note card or the applique.... just presumed i stuck a cheque in an envelope.

As it was a normal card with the applique inside I didnt get it weighed or nuffin. I'm totally gutted as finding that was a task in itself.......

fingers Xd the lady in the USA can help me.

I have had BDay cards opened before now, as they have had gift cards in them and the naughty postal workers finger the envelopes and open these ones, stealing what's inside. Maybe they could feel something inside and thought it was steal-able enough to open the card. This kind of thing really riles me.

I think Royal Mail really need to buck their ideas up - their service is disgusting.

A few of our guests haven't received their invitations, which has been a bit awkward in one or two cases. The day invites were quite bulky as they had info cards in and a bow on the front so I sent those with "large" stamps. The evening ones were slimmer and I checked them on the measurement card/weight thingmebob on our franking machine at work and they came out as not needing "large" stamps, so I sent them with normal 2nd class stamps. It looks like depending on which postman or whoever sorts them some go through okay and others are apparently "under postage". My cousins for example live in the same house but as one has a g/f I sent them each an invite; one got his and the other got a note asking him to pay the additional postage. Completely embarrassing and annoying because I checked them all before sending and why would one go through and not the other? They were exactly the same.

I feel like complaining now too, in one of those moods today!

I have spoken to a few people who have not received them, and have had to resend. Our cut of date for replying is now coming close. So I have started to chase a few friends, 1 has sent an acceptance 2 weeks ago and we still have not received it she is only in the next village. With the same sorting office!
