Grrrrrrrr SO annoyed

C******t housing association are the bane of my life at the moment. HOW can I get any joy out of them? Suggestions gratefully received. I've been trying to speak to someone about reselling my house (which they own 40% of ) for weeks, and no matter how many voicemail messages and emails I leave, I never get called back. No one answers their phone, half the voicemail messages are out of date ("uh... hi... I'm out of the office over Christmas, I'll be back in January, leave a message") and the very few real people I've spoken to have either been the wrong people entirely, despite being on the end of the phone numbers I've been given, or have promised to pass on messages to the people who should be able to help - who have then not phoned back either.

I've spent a fortune, at their insistance, getting a surveyor's valuation and HIP on my house before sending them anything, have sent paperwork by recorded delivery AND electronic copies as back up and have heard precisely f*** all back to confirm that they're actually doing anything about selling my house for me before I have to pay another load of fees to have the survey and HIP redone.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

thank you.

A complaint letter addressed to the chief exec might get someone pulling their finger out.

? I've just spent a satisfying ten minutes composing a ripsnorting letter. Sadly it'll have to be addressed to Sir/Madam as I can't find out who their chief exec. is.

There is a protocol for complaints, with an online complaints form. Guess what, the link doesn't work.

See if the Housing Federation represents your housing association, and contact them for the name of the Chief Exec:

    http://www.housing.org.uk/

I'd also see if they have a formal complaints procedure that you can follow if you have no joy with the association directly. That'll scare them as the HF is a big hitter!

Thanks, Flissy. They could confirm that they're a member but not who the CEO is, unfortunately.

Am now embarking on another round of phoning every number I've been given and it's just getting more frustrating. Nobody is ever at their desk, the person I "definitely" need to talk to has a full voicemail box and every other number I've been given is either the wrong department (and they can't put me through) or yet another voicemail.

I know it'd be a pain in the arse but would it be possible for you to go to their offices to speak to someone?

Gosh - their Housing Management Dept sound as bad as the ones who work with me (I also work for a Housing Association!!) - you're not in the West Midlands are you!!

You could try contacting the TSA (Tenant Services Authority) - they regulate all Registered Social Landlords (Housing Associations) and should be able to tell you who their Chief Executive is. They may also be interested to hear if you are having problems - though they will likely just advise you to go through the HA's own complaints procedure in the first instance unfortunately. web address for TSA: http://www.tenantservicesauthority.org/

    Sorry can't be more help!

Edited cos I forgot how to type and spell!
