My wedding is awash with bunting so the day guests have got fabric bunting triangles they've personalised that will be hung up during the ceremony. In the evening it's triangular blue or white paper, with little heart pegs, and string to hung them on so there'll be a mini set of paper bunting with messages on that we can pop in a book afterwards.

    Fingerprint tree for us

i don't like guest books... Most of the time they remain 3/4's empty... And for a person with OCD issues, that is not good!!

I think I got mine from EBay, but it's a company that have a website dedicated to fingerprint trees... If you Google it, it will show up. Thinking its fingerprint trees.co.uk or something like that!

I've put ours in a huge white frame, same as table plan and will just swap them over on Easel

We are having a fingerprint tree - I will get people to stamp their finger then I will pencil in their name by the print and pen it later. I chose that because I thought it would be nice to have something to display and I only have 22 guests so they wouldn't fill a book.

My sister had a lot of guests yet they barely filled her book. Most people wrote on the same page, some people didn't bother and other people wrote stupid things once they were drunk!

I got my tree from http://www.intwinedesign.co.uk/ she'll pretty much change anything for you. I found her on notonthehighstreet.com but it was cheaper to order direct.

Going to put our engagement shoot photos in a photo book and use that as a guest book.

We're asking married guests to send us copies of their own wedding pictures. We'll put them all into a book (H2B works in design so he will do all the creative bits!) and ask guests to sign around them. Hopefully people will be more interested in looking at and signing the book because they're in it, and it's also a lovely and subtle way to remember those people who can't be there on the day. So far our guests have been amazing and sent us beautiful pictures - they seem to love the idea.

I had nothing. I thought back to all the weddings I had been to and realised most people find it a pain having to write in them. I realised I would probably read it once and than just put it away.

Save yourself the stress of finding one.

I was going to buy one but OH said wasn't it something that guests got you. Then his mum overheard and said she'd for us one. I must admit I love writing in guests books/visitor books!

What a wonderful idea! I wish I'd thought of that! We went for a complete DIY option. I'm a scrapbooker and had planned to do a large scrapbook of all our wedding planning stuff so I decided the final few pages would be better dedicated to messages from our guests rather than a separate book. However, I didn't want to send that round on the day as it would be too heavy so I did something else! I had a table with heart shaped pieces of paper, gel pens and wine bottles and a framed message asking our guests to write a message on the paper and pop it into one of the bottles. The 5 bottles each had an anniversary on it - First day married, 1 month married, 1 year, 5 years & 10 years so people could choose what to write based on the bottle they went in to! So far, we've opened the first two bottles and the messages are amazing. Everyone loved the idea as it was a little unique! I'll then use all these in our scrapbook so we'll have them forever and I can add the later anniversary messages later on!

We're having a guest book but I'll be asking the bridesmaids to take it round to make sure it gets signed. I was at a wedding a couple of weeks ago and they did the same, took it round the tables during the wedding breakfast and people signed between courses, so it ended up nice and full.
