Guest books / Photos stickers

Katscamel, 28 November, 2010 at 13:29 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hiya

Have got myself into a bit of a dilemma ?. Found what I thought would be great for my guest book - a very small portable printer that prints stickers straight from digital cameras or from mobiles via bluetooth - how cool is that. Luckily I did actually read the reviews to discover it only works if you have a package on your camera called 'pictbridge' which am pretty sure mine hasn't. Ok so the question for everyone out there - does anyone know of a small - easily portable printer that will print photo stickers so guests can write their comments next to their pics or alternatively a company that can produce photo stickers (the ones I've seen only have 1 design) so I can ask people to email pics beforehand and stick them in.

Thanks ?

Have you thought about a polaroid camera? take group pictures and some double sided sticky tape to stick them in then have all your guest write on the same page? i'd ask a grooms man (usher) to go round and make sure someone is taking the pictures properly x

Ok problem solved.......just checked the specifications of my camera - a Sony Cybershot and seems it is compatible after all - serves me right for not looking into it properly. Thanks Samantha - good idea though.

Now, as much as I'd love to stay on here and see what everyones up to I have a Zumba class to go to ?

Hi L, yes it is - looks pretty good and great to find someone who's actually used one.

My sister in law had one of these at her wedding. Me and my finace were 'in charge' of it so to speak. It worked ok but we found the following...

The printer got over hot and we had to leave for a while to cool down (Over 100 guests to wedding).

It took a while for pictures to print and although it seemed quick it ended up being quite a slow process.

Me and fiance pretty much spent the whole wedding sorting it out. It took forever and people at wedding couldnt work out how to use it themsleves! We missed alot of the evening celebrations because we were sorting it out. People then began taking advantage and asking us to take photos, printing them off and then keeping them for other things, meaning we ran out of paper for the guest book!

    My advice would be..

Ask more than one person to circulate it/assist with it.

Buy more paper than you think you need!

Try to spread out printing the pics to save it overheating!

    Hope this helps!
