Guest Manager not allowing multiple guests with the same first name.

Just wondering if anyone else has found that the guest manager won't allow them to input 2 or more guests with the same first name? For example I have 2 James' and 2 John's in my family but when I try and input the second of either name it informs me that they already exist, even though they all have different surnames, addresses etc. If that's the case then I'll have to use some different software as I know that I have several other guests with the same first name still to input!

    Hi AliceChanner,

    You can have multiple guests with the same name in your guest manager, the pop up warns you that you have already used the same name once, in case you have entered it by mistake, but you should be able to accept this and create the duplicate name.

    Is this not happening this way for you?

    If you can email me at aimee@hitched.co.uk with more details, any screen grabs, and what internet browser you are using then I can see if there is a problem.

    Hi

    Ive noticed this as well it warns you and then you add them but if you are adding someone as a guest to your main person like a girlfriend or something then it wont allow you the same name as someone already on your list it says please chose from one of the names you already have.

    So if I have 'Laura Green' then add 'Daniel Red' with his girlfriend 'Laura Blue' it wont let me add 'Laura Blue' and tells me to chose 'Laura Green'

    So I have to put 'Laura1 Blue'

    Hi Blondiechick26,

    I have passed your problems to our technical team to investigate. I think the problem may be to do with adding a guest using the accompanying guest option.

    Can you try to add the guests using the quick add text box at the bottom of the page, or the add new guest button at the top, and then linking the guests you need to?

    Hiya,

    We have updated the site to fix the problem that has been described about the Guest Manager.

    Please can you let me know if you have any further problems using the tool, or any of the other planning tools.

    Before continuing to use the tools, I would advise that you clear your cache and cookies (from your history or settings tab) from your browser settings before you reload the site - to ensure that the fix that we have implemented gets updated for you.
