gutted!

pink & glitz, 9 May, 2014 at 19:04 Posted on Planning 0 6

My mum who is visiting us tonight just let slip in front of my fiance that I am having a veil. I am so upset, trying to keep my dress and accessories a secret from everyone! I really don't think anyone sees my point of view about it being important that nobody knows these details. Pointless post, so annoyed! X

Not pointless but just shows we can easily forget that others might not know exactly what we want to keep secret or atually keep a secret. I'm sure she'll be gutted to know she's let a cat out. xx

    This!

i have never denied to my fiancé that I'm having a veil ( just at the back of my hair) and the other day I said 'God I wish me underskirt and veil would hurry up and get here' his face dropped and he said ' what your having a veil' I was gob smacked he hadn't listened to a word I'd been saying since planning! I then had to explane it wasn't a full over the face veil, I think he now approves!

Oh I understand completely - I've told barely anyone about my dress for fear of the cat getting out of the bag.

    This

I'm not having one. I keep making comments about trying to dance in frock, peeing, what type of pants I need then try to manically back track make up some dramatic gypsy weddings style frock to put him off the scent of my fairly simple close fitting dress.

I doubt he remembers. Even if he does he will be blown away by the whole package on the day!

I hate the idea of my OH knowing any details too although I let something slip myself by accident. We were getting his suit sorted and I mentioned that you can still see his tattoos through his shirt. I didn't think and said "that's ok, you can still see my tattoo through my dress". My tattoo is the top half of my back so he knows that I'm not having a strapless dress. Hopefully he's forgotten by now...
