My mum and I had my first dress appointment yesterday.

I went in with an openmind about what I thought I'd like for our wedding, and took some printouts of ones I had fallen in love with.

I was quitye adamant that I didn't want anything 'big' or 'flouncy'. I tried 5 completely different styles on, and fell head over heels for two!!! Both of which were very different. One is a very moden fishtail design and the other is a Fairytale, which I said I wouldn't like but I love it! They were both by Ronal Joyce, and very reasonably priced.

Just thought I would share my excitement with you all....It's all finally settled in now that I'm getting married ?.

I was dreading my first dress appointment - not a girlie girl and believe it or not this is my idea of hell. I went on saturday and it wasnt that bad. tried some horrendous dresses on just so i knew they were wrong and could strike them off my list. Very weird to stand there in a dress for the first time!!

I've just had my first dress session at house of fraser and fell in love with Savvanah by Ronald Joyce too!!!

but they quoted the price of £1149 ( with 20% discount if I buy by the end of the week) + £190 on alteration!

Mrs_T2B Would you mind letting me know where did you get yours? for £650.

    Thank you very much!!!!

I have the Livia dress. I got married September 2010 and absolutely loved wearing it - I would choose it again in a flash! I am thinking about selling it, head saying sell - heart saying keep it! But I'm not going to wear it again and it seems a shame to keep it in a box. I ordered the size 18 but it was taken in to at least a size 16. A little was taken off the length so I didn't trip up in it - with the heels I wore I would have been about 5' 10" (I'm 5'8 tall). It has been properly cleaned and is now boxed in acid free tissue paper.
