Hair accessory help - 26 days to go!

emmiejune, 25 November, 2013 at 20:40 Posted on Planning 0 13

Hey, I am struggling to know what to do about some kind of comb or flower to go with my birdcage veil. I want something pretty as I want some kind of thing in my haor if I decide to take the veil off at any point and wondered if you had any ideas?

I don't want sparkly at all and had the idea of some ivory flowers but don't want to send a fortune.

I will be having my hair down and wavy. My dress is JA 8596 if that helps! https://www.justinalexander.com/

Thank you :-) I guess I could just have the birdcage as it is but then swap it for something completely different after...

    Your dress is stunning ❤️

Have you had a look at Etsy?

Here is a selection [all from English sellers so timing shouldn't be an issue]...

    1) £20.35

    2) £14.31

    3) £65

    4) £25 for 5

    5) £24

    6) £12

Folksy.com are very similar to Etsy but are all British sellers with some lovely handcrafted items, I think it's worth a look anyway.

I think hair combs are lovely and versatile x

Delivery from the US can be as quick as from the UK if you are prepared to pay extra for it, but it is generally only 2 weeks anyway. I have a couple of combs but probably too sparkly and some of them are reduced. www.3djewellery.co.uk

Have you had a look on Not on the High Street? They have some nice hair accessories that are slightly different.

If you're wearing your hair down, it might be better to go with a clip or a band, as a comb may not stay it as well.

Here are a few that look lovely, but they have loads more.

    Beautiful dress!

I bought my side tiara from Accessorize. It cost £12. It was pearls shaped into flowers so wasn't sparkly. They had a good selection. This was over 2 years ago now though but would assume the selection was similar!

Thank you! I have ordered the one from Etsy and am keeping my fingers crossed that I don;t get hammered on customs charges. i hate that you can't pre-pay and therefore get hammered on the 'admin' fee.

I will check out folksy as well though!

Slightly nervous but excited at the same time!

Sat twiddling my thumbs now wishing I didn't have 3 weeks to go, everything is sorted except paying for the flowers!
