Hair and make up trial question

Daisy82, 17 June, 2010 at 18:35 Posted on Planning 0 5

I have booked trials for hair and make up with different people (one for hair and one for make up) and the hair lady phoned me back to tell me she does make up too. Now I am not sure what to do really for the best.

I only have a short time to get ready (about 2hrs) as have to leave for wedding venue about an hour before ceremony because it's so far away. Wedding at 12noon.

What I need help with is who to use. I am quite keen on using them separately as I think it will save time but the hair lady has said that this doesn't always work.

What is everyone else doing or have done for their weddings? I'm just really confused.

Thanks for your help x

Forgot to say. Just me, my BM and my mum. It's the lack of time I'm panicking about.

I don't think one person for 3 people for hair and make up is doable within the time frame or at least not going by how long all my things took. My hair and make up were about 45 mins each so an hour and a half for me alone. We had the same hairdresser for all 3 of us and then separate make up artists so we could all be done at the same time.

Unless you start getting hair done about 8am I think you'll be pushed for time. x

Jo - Thanks chick. I'll prob see how it goes with makeup lady first as she is booked first x

PG - This is what I'm worried about happening as I really have no time to overrun!! We have a big enough place so we don't get under each others feet.

I'll have the trials and then decide I think.

I would keep them seperate as you won't have enough time (2 hours) for one person to do 3 people's hair and makeup and you will most likely oover run.

For three people it would take me 1.5 hours to do their makeup. I work along side the hairdresser, for example she does your Mum and then I do Mum,'s makeup whilst BM is getting her hair done etc so works like a conveyor belt, so it's alot more time effecient.
