Hair curlers

BarcaGirl25, 9 March, 2014 at 19:27 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 12

Evening all!

when I had my hair and make up trial my hair was curled and it was lovely loose curls. I really want to do them myself. I've heard you can do them with hair straighteners ... Any idea how?!

i was thinking of investing in a hair curling wand. Do any of you use them? And recommendations?

Ta :-)

I have naturally very curly, frizzy and thick hair.

For special occasions, I use my angelcurls, which I've had probably for about 10 years. I don't even know if you can get tehm n the shops anymore but you can get them from ebay and amazon, dead cheap and brlllant on my hair. It gives me lovely soft waves and looks like a giant pink vibrator

I do mine with straighteners ... the only way I can describe it, is you know when you use a pair of scissors or a ruler to curl a ribbon or a streamer? Same principle.

That'll either confuse you more or make perfect sense to you!

I've got the babylis conical wand which is great for making loose waves.

For nights out, I like proper big curls so I've got a huge barrelled babylis curling tong which works for me. I pin and spray the curls until they've cooled. Takes a while to get the hang of, but YouTube videos are really helpful.

Ooh, I've been dying to try that pro-perfect curl thingamajig. Saw it being demo-ed at a wedding fayre and it makes curling look so easy! £119 in Argos hmmm...

When my hair is long enough I just put it up in buns, as described in this article:

    http://www.xovain.com/hair/buns-that-create-mermaid-waves#awesm=~oy6GotLgnjCpJe

But at the moment it isn't long enough to get into anything but a stubby ponytail Smiley sad

I agree with Flow. Best curling tool I have ever had. Luckily I didn't have to pay for them though!

I'm selling my babyliss curl secret for £70 on ebay. Was pants in my hair but sure it would work better on others. I'm a wand girl!
