Hair dilemma!

ShropshireLass, 24 March, 2014 at 17:02 Posted on Planning 0 4

I had my hair trial a couple of weeks ago, but on reflection I didn't particularly like what the hairdresser did, and I also wasn't too happy that she insisted I buy extensions "because my hairs too short to do anything", dye my hair (yes, I've got a few greys but I'm leaving it as near to the wedding as poss to dye it so I don't have noticeable greys on the day...damn genes, I'm only 29!!) Anyways, I've decided to cancel her.

My hair is currently just below my neckline. Realistically, it is too short to curl...I've tried tongs, GHD's & the babyliss perfect curl thingy. There's just not enough hair on the under layer to get a nice curl. I am desperate to have it cut too, the ends are split & it just looks limp amd lifeless! Really stuck on what to do! The shorter it is, the less can be done with it! I have a headband & was thinking of just blow drying it so it's got some volume and natural wave and then pinning it half up (I have a nice sparkly barrette clip). Has anyone got any suggestions for shorter & straight wedding hairstyles?

thanks Smiley smile

What sort of style is your hair normally? Bob? Straight? Wavy? How would you wear it on a night out? If you have a nice bob type thing I'm thinking have it like that but maybe with a bit more volume. There are no rules that say you have to have it up or curly or whether, especially if your normal style is so nice. I'll have a look for some x

Maybe have a half up do - with a SLIGHT beehive volume to it, then the headband can sit just in front of it, with a bit of extra hair in a side parting.

Not sure I've explained it too well, but I did see a few like it on Pinterest.

    xx

I had mine a similar length and decided to go for a pixie cut last month - no worries now about my hair, I don't have to do anything to it apart from wash it and attach my fascinator! Not right for everyone, but I love it.

Pinterest may be your friend... search your hair length/style as is and see what comes up. Also speak to your regular hair dresser? They may be able to guide you towards what your hair is realistically capable of doing, then you can add frippery as you see fit Smiley xd

My hair is below my shoulders and I havent had it cut in the best part of 6 months Smiley atonished I'm desperate for an overhaul but I am a stay at home mum and my darling hubs to be will tell me off if I spend much more money Smiley atonished I just bought a pair of Benjamin Adams shoes on a whim.
