Hair Extensions....

LooseLadie, 24 March, 2010 at 09:20 Posted on Planning 0 10

Hiya, i was just wondering if any of you have had hair extensions in for the big day? Or planning to? Its just my hair is quite weak and i dont think it could cope with glue in extensions at the moment, I can use clip in ones (or the hair dresser can) but im not sure if these will show with an up style... I have blonde fine hair so they look good when my hairs down but not sure about up...

I have heard of the new "micro ring extensions" and they are supposed to be more gentle on the hair and they look easy to put in and they are just as cheap on Ebay as my clip in ones were...

Do any of you have any past experiences with extensions and up do's and can recomend any?

Thank you, Natty x

    Hi Natty ?

I haven't had any experience with hair extensions so far, but just wanted to say I'm going for a trial to try some out on Saturday, so if you check back then I'll post an update on how it goes in case you were interested to hear!

Hey Stazzle - what sort of style are you thinking about?? I too will watch out for the pics.

My friends is coming round on Sunday to do a trial for me (he's a hairdresser). Exciting!

This is my hair at the trial - there is a "doughnut" foam ring and two sets of extentions in there.... needed to get the volume - thought they were great! :-)

I really don't know! All I know is what I definitely don't want - which is to be anything too long and fake or too volumised if that makes sense, really don't want the Jordan or WAG look!

My hairdresser has sort of gently encouraged me to try them and I'm not actually 100% sure I want them, but have agreed to just have a trial at least and see. I will be sure to post an update!

    Hi There

yes i have had extensions put in, i had them put in 2 years ago and i have not and prob will never not be without them, i am addicted to them!

I have had the Great Lengths Hair Extensions applied at www.inanch.com - after doing some on-line research i found this London base salon. They are known world wide for being the best in hair extensions and Inanch is the person you want to have, she is the expert of hair extension application.

You are offered a free, no obligation quotation to talk about the extensions, i was asked what length/thickness i wanted, my hair condition was checked to make sure what i wanted would be ok on my own hair (and it was!) and then they did a colour match to make sure the extensions blended naturally with my own hair.

The maintenance is really easy! I imagined it woud be a lot of work to care for them but after a few washes and getting used to them, you forget you have them in and treat them like your own hair. Mine last me 4-5 months at a time.I got so many compliments, i love it!

    Check out www.inanch.com

Ah Sounds brilliant, Thank you, although London is probably too far to travel for hair extensions and i would imagine fairly pricey.

My home hair dresser can put them in and as its only for the one day they should probably stay, (hopefully!)

What extensions did you have in, Glue bond ones or Micro ring?

    Natty x
