Hair, night before??

Mrs G to be, 23 April, 2011 at 11:28 Posted on Planning 0 13

I have a silly little question that I need answering! I'm trying to sort out all my little details for the day before etc and it got me thinking about hair!

Are you washing your hair the night before the wedding or the morning?

I keep hearing people say, for your hair to be done better, you need to wash it the night before, however I am a little wierd about the fact that when I gfo out I like my hair to be freshly washed but they do say its better to do it the night bedfore.

So, what are you ladies doing?

If you wash your hair on the morning, you'll strip it of any natutral oils etc and your hair will have less chance of staying in place for the whole day.

Ive been a bridesmaid 4 times and each time I have washed my hair the night before for an up do - they say it stays in place better and each time its lasted the whole day.

Brilliant thanks girls, thats that decision sorted! Smiley smile

My hair isnt so much going up well half up and down with curls but I'd imagine it'd be the same, so night before it is then, thanks x

I washed mine the night before & just left it to dry. Then my hairderesser just sprayed it and put rollers in the following morning.

I am the same, dont feel right unless i have washed my hair in the morning so i did on my wedding day too, that said my hair was mainly down but if i was having an up do i think i would have tried to deal with washing it the night before as it does make a difference

Another one doing it the night before. I have very thick and soft hair, so doing it in the morning would mean needing a lot of hairspray to keep it up.

Hi i know its recommended to wash the night before and this may sound daft but i dont feel awake if i dont wash my hair in the morning! So ill be doing mine on the morning and try and use some kind of product in that helps styles hold! Plus im putting clip in extensions anyway and they hold well! x

I think you ought to do what is right for you.

My hairdresser said if I wanted to wash it in the morning (as I usually would) that was fine (it's my hair, after all!) but I should do the same for my trial so we could see how it held up. As long as you do it for your trial, your hairdresser will be able to work with your hair regardless of its state.

It's about you, not your hairdresser, after all!

I will be going to the hairdressers to get mine washed and treated a few days before. I have afro caribbean hair and mine always looks nicer after a couple of day.

only you know your hair. So I agree with CB, go with what you think is best
