Hair worries... ideas needed please

*PrincessMeMa*, 30 May, 2013 at 10:34 Posted on Planning 0 6

I'm hoping you wonderful girls can help me... I'm stressing big time over my hair.

I have really frizzy unruley hair... as soon as it knows about humidity, wet, or heat it blows up and starts flaying around all over the place. Its also gone really thin, due to an illness I have. Its refusing to grow past my shoulders, so its making it difficult to decide on a hair style

I have hair trial on Tuesday with a hairdresser Ive known for years. I originally wanted an updo, but I don't think it will work as my hairs too short and too thin

I'm wearing Maggie Sottero Mona, which is a one shoulder dress. I have tiara and veil too

I'm contemplating cutting my hair back into a bob (or slightly lolnger) and having the top half pinned up somehow, but I can't find any pictures online, and I'm also worried if its a hot day my hair thats down will frizz up

I'm so self-concious of it... has anyone got any suggestions apart from a wig x

Have a nosey about on pintrest. There are some excellent wedding hair ideas on there.

With regards to the frizz, have you tried Moroccan Argan oil? I know it sounds off-putting, but I recently had a hairdresser use it on me (suffer terrible frizz from my curly hair) and it really worked. My hair is very thick though, so check with your hairdresser if it's suitable for thinner tresses.

Your hair sounds like my hair ,last year its was quite long (way past my shoulders),woke up one morning had a hissy fit and had it lobbed off to ear length.

loved it first day ,then regretted it ,then booked wedding and guess what hair has not grown back.

In 11 months its now just at shoulder and look like and feel like a bag lady, unruly hair and look like a one o@clock in damp weather.

I have been putting off hair trial as I don't know what to have done ,I would love to know what you decide on your hair trial keep us updated please.

I would go for an up-do with clip in hair extensions.

The extra hair will give the hairdresser more to play with to create the do, and as it is up, it should stay lovely all day.

Is this any help? The hairdresser could use product to tame & tease your curls & creative pinning to create the volume? I'm having something like this & my hair is fine & just above my shoulders at the moment. It's straight though so will have to have mine curled! x

LigsLigs - You sound exactly like me!!! I'm getting married on 2nd August, so just before you. I'll keep you posted with hair trial

I have clip in extensions, but hairdresser didn't sound confident when I mentioned them to her.

I have been using Argon oil which has made my hair much more shiny. I've started using Lee Stafford products... one called "For hair that doesn't grow past a certain length" and it smells divine. Reviews say it actually makes your hair grow. so fingers crossed

I'll have a look at Pinterest too... just not sure what to have.

I'm more concerned that my side fringe isn't long enough to clip back, so if I get hot etc I'm worried it will go all curly and frizzy... would it be wrong to have my hair straighteners in toilet of venue at the ready?! haha!!!

Have you thought about maybe having some extensions put in. It can be done really discreetly and can be taken off the next day. We have a Pinterest board with lots of wedding hairstyle ideas that's very popular. Lots of likes and repins. Have a look http://pinterest.com/estilomoda/celebrity-wedding-hair-and-more/

Good luck with finding a hairstyle that works. xx
