Half way there

MummyMoo82, 12 December, 2013 at 07:33 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 24

Anyone panicked that we are half way to Christmas? I haven't done my cards yet and really feel like I am late with them. Haven't written to Father Christmas yet eithe r( my son, moot me!) I also have a few presents left to buy although I am not sure what to get.

Hubby bought a Christmas present for us yesterday - a 42" TV! Our current tv we have had 4 years and we got it second hand from some friends who were emigrating. We've said for 4 years about replacing it but always put it off. Randomly hubby walked through the door with it this afternoon!

We are pretty well organised I think. Did a lot before A arrived though. Still got wrapping to do.
Im only doing family cards. Cant be arsed this year. Feels like a waste of time and money sometimes.

    Nope. I'm done.

I wish it was here already, so I can stop spending money. I have a massive problem when it comes to buying my boys presents, I can't stop...

Cards were given out a week or so ago, the only person who hasn't got one, is me. I refuse to buy my own. Knowing my H, i'll get it Christmas eve...

All family and friends presents are wrapped, under the tree, and my boys presents are wrapped, and in the loft/wardrobe/under stairs cupboard.

I haven't written my cards yet. I currently have a sick boy at home so that's messed up my plans to get stuff done. I have to send cards to the republic of Irelan so I've probably missed the post deadline now

MM82- we've clubbed together with my siblings to buy our parents a new TV. You'll have to go out and buy the xmas TV guide to start planning your Tv viewing!

Sorry he is is poorly but I am sure everyone understands so wont mind about cards. I only need to send them to family as friends etc I can catch up with online and by email.

Id love to plan some TV viewing, but we will be at Mums for Christmas Eve - Boxing Day, and besides, with my two I expect the only TV I will be watching is Cbeebies and endless Christmas DVD's (Polar Express has been watched 5 times since Sunday!)

I finished my Christmas shopping by October. Cards all sent out last weekend and planning to decorate the house this weekend. Food is all ordered from Ocado for delivery nearer Christmas.

This is not the Christmas I expected it to be. None of the above really matters.

AK- He has the sickness bug that is currently going round his school- kids are puking all over the place so he was bound to catch it at some point. thankfully Luke only seemed to have problems the other end, but keeping a close eye on him because of his other health problems.

We've done most of the presents and cards and are delivering them to family next week. The house was decorated a week ago. I don't need to worry about Christmas food as H and I will be working.

I've got so much to do at work before Christmas and I'm panicking, but there's no one to help me complete it all so I can't ask for help!

I'm looking ahead to my being off work from December 31st - January 8th, seeing family in Cornwall and Kidderminster and a shopping trip to Birmingham!

Poor lad. C had the "D" part of the D&V bug too.

He ALWAYS seems to pick that one up. With his bowel problem, he almost sees it as a relief, that he finds it easy to go.

    Hope he's better soon. x

    AC ?

Well with D day being tomorrow I wanted to make sure everything was done, trying to reduce my stress levels as much as possible. Tree and Decs have been up 2 weeks this weekend. All presents and gifts bought and wrapped, and cards have been posted.

I'm with a few of you though, in that none of the above really matters this year.

I am horribly unprepared. Have written a card list but not sent any (that's tonight's job). Bought no presents. And I'm on nights all of next week.

    **Hugs to AC**

**Get well soon wishes to Luke**

We are quite organized but not much that would entitle panicking. We decided only to send cards to those who send us one this year, the tree and decor were up this weekend, and presents almost all bought just a couple missing for OHs parents.

FMIL does all the cooking and won't allow us to help, so we are spoiled rotten and just have to put our feet up really! ?

We're done, all wrapped and hidden away. Dropped some off at family already, cards were posted last week, tree is up too. After Christmas it's back to the wedding planning ?
