MrsCoyleToBe, 9 July, 2009 at 23:17 Posted on Planning 0 11

Hi This is my first post so here goes, I'm wanting to make my own wedding invitations and was wondering if anyone could suggest a shop/website where I could buy all the supplies or somewhere who can sell me a pack with everything I would need...? Thanks

    Hi MrsCoyle!

there are some online stockists as well, personally I like to see and touch materials to make up my mind, this link has some ideas -

    http://www.cheap-wedding-success.co.uk/cheap-wedding-invitations.html

I ended up just going to stationary shop on the high street for the save the dates but will probably trek to hobbycraft for the bulk of it though they don't have one in London! boo!

I bought all our wedding invite stationary from www.weddingcrafter.co.uk - you can purchase a sample pack to see examples of the type of materials you can use. Got my OH to design the graphics to print on the card and we did it all ourselves. everyone loved them - thought we had them done professionally!!

Good luck! (and dont underestimate the amount of time it will take putting them all together - I had many late nights finishing mine..

Another Wedding Crafter fan here - they are superb.

Also PDA Card and Craft - they're good too although if you want wallets/pocketfolds they come 'flat pack' which is very time consuming.

Cloverdale Mice for ribbon - they do great prices on big reels of all sorts of ribbon.

For diamantes and such like https://www.ebay.co.uk/Devilisha-BluBelles are good. PDA/Cloverdale also do self adhesive pearls/dimantes etc.

The Pocketfold Invitations Company are also another good one - and they do a nice range of ribbon slider/buckles too. Syntego are also another good one for stuff but they are a trade only site.

If you were wanting serious numbers of anything, I get a discount with most of my suppliers, and trade only sites and I'd be happy to help you out by ordering on your behalf if you wanted to save a few pennies. The prices I can get can be significantly lower than those charged to the public ... worth keeping in mind if you're doing a lot of stuff and using more expensive elements like buckles or pocketfolds ...

I used 'Pure Invitation' to buy the pockets for my invites. They're good quality and turned up fast.
