has anyone had a ring made for them? - recommendations wanted!

My ER was designed by my OH and he went to a jewellers in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter to have it made- Victoria James. It cost less than most high street rings and the valuation certificate we have states it should be insured for £2k mor than he paid. They were wonderful in there, I couldn't recommend enough.

Oh and turnaround time was 8 days.

I've had my engagement ring amended, my wedding ring made and my H2B's wedding ring made by a woman called Sarah. She has been fab and all the communication has been done by e-mail. Her quotes were the cheapest by far! If you would like her e-mail address, PM me and I will pass it on.

She works in all metals and to your specification. I've had my diamond re-set into a yellow gold setting and a yellow gold wedding ring to match, this has cost £175 and the turn around is about 3-4 weeks with hallmarking.

Hiya. Mine was made. My OH took a picture into Queensbury Jewellers in Leeds and they designed it for him. He picked the diamond and sapphires and the setting. I couldn't recommend them enough. He even thought to get a 'wed-fit' setting so my wedding band will sit flush with my ER band bless him. I love the fact that my ring is unique - go for it!

Mine's a titanium wedding band to match my engagement ring, both made especially for me and my OHs wedding ring was also made for him too. Company called Geti rings in the birmingham jewellery quater

We used smooch and though we won't see our rings til we have finished paying for them next Feb, the lady was lovely and it worked out far cheaper than the quotes jewellers gave us for having a wedding ring modelled around my odd-shaped ER. I just have to hope it looks like we planned when we finally see them! Maybe you could meet with them just to get a quote? The price we got for my bespoke wr plus a thick white gold man for oh was less than some jewellers quoted just for mine!

Hi, I had mine and my husbands made by AA Jewellery in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. They can turn it round pretty quick and are reasonable and friendly.
