I wouldn't worry about the domain name - .com is global, rather than just American. So it could still be UK based!

Also, the English on the Peridress website is so terrible, I find myself wondering if they're trustworthy...

Just bare in mind that any website in this country has to legally display their postal address on it for this exact purpose of being able to identify where the company is based/trading from if you can not see an address i wouldnt trust the site.

Also be mindful just because a company says 'based in the uk' which can be misleading as some will just be ordering your dress from over seas like china anyway....Sadly there are not many large scale clothes manufacturers left in this country so if you really want to 'keep it British' you may wish to consider speaking to a local dress maker.

    Good luck.

    Hi,

I am having problems with this company "Last Minute Wedding Dresses" too.

I ordered two bridesmaids dresses, when they arrived literally days before my wedding they had been made in the completely wrong colour. I agreed to take a look at them anyway but as they simply weren't suitable I asked for them to be collected. The dresses were collected by Parcel Force and I have a tracking number for the return.

Evie Bridal are now claiming Parcel Force have lost the dresses, and they would process the refund when they were successfully returned despite that not being my responsibility. It's now been three weeks since I returned them and they are repeatedly ignoring my requests for a refund.

Im now having to take legal action to recover my money which is really dissappointing as I've been very fair with them. I didn't even berate them when they left me without dresses days before my wedding.

    I would not recommend.

    Dear Hitched Member,

I only recently came across this forum.

Evie Bridal is a genuine business and we are extremely happy with the quality of our manufacturing and have a lot of very happy customers whose genuine testimonials can be seen on our web site.

We do thrive on recommendations and complaints are rare but we are all human and very occasionally mistakes are made but we do always try to ensure that fair and prompt resolution is found and most of all, ensure that the customer is left happy and more likely to offer further recommend rather than post negatives.

At the time of writing. the questions raised by other members within this forum have been dealt with and I would reiterate that we would rather make friends than enemies and we will do everything we can to achieve this.

Incidentally, regarding the 'dot com' extension to our web site, we elected to acquire the dot com to attract a more global audience. Although the majority of our business is within the UK, we do deliver worldwide and the dot com is still the most popular and most globally recognised extension to a web site.

    Yours sincerely.

    Anne for Evie Bridal

Sorry Anne but you need to be a listed supplier before you advertise on the forums. Please check the rules.

Hello, I found this thread by chance having only recently joined hitch and wanted to say that I have used this company for my dress. Like other brides to be I was really umming and arring about using an on line company but could not find what I wanted in the shops so I went for it and was absolutely thrilled. The customer service was spot on and my dress which was well priced exceeded my (high) expectations - I have been recommending to all my friends ever since x
