Has anyone used Darkhouse pictures?

I have booked them for next year with their £99 deal. Not sure myself if its too good to be true or not. But I wasnt going to have one so if its crap ive only lost £99 and if its great ive got a right bargain.

They have had some bad press on facebook just lately from 1 customer but have had alot of good reviews after that. I havent received a booking form from them yet but have paid the money, ive emailed them twice and finally got a reply saying all booking forms would be posted on their facebook page for me to download and print, however they are not there yet.

Im kinda just waiting to see how things go at the moment...

I just paid the whole £99. And I have the date confirmed via email.

Cool at that price i think its a no brainer will book when pay day arrives : ) x

Sorry but I wouldnt touch these guys with a barge pole, they have this 'special offer' on ALL THE TIME. They offered to travel from Liverpool to London where I live, do a whole days filming and editing for £99 and they do it so often if they were legit they'd go bust! When I asked to see sample footage they very abruptly told me that past wedding dvds were for the bride and groom only and I couldnt see any. The guys wife does wedding stationary and there was a facebook group set up a few weeks ago warning of the pair of them, saying darkhouse hadnt shown up to a few weddings and the wife hadnt sent her orders out. I was on the wifes friends list (Danielle YourDesigns) and was going to use her til I saw how many customer complaints there were on her wall (which shes now removed!) I also saw lots of posts on darkhouses page asking when their dvd would arrive but nothing commenting on a finished product.

I again wouldn't use them - I was looking at the offer and it definitely sounds too good to be true. I would never book a videographer without seeing sample footage first and he wouldn't give me any despite being into wedding videos for years. Also something to bear in mind the feedback on his page could easily be from friends / relatives trying to build up his reputation. Sadly it always seems to be if something is too good to be true....it usually is. Make sure you have insurance if you do plan on using them just to be safe

Dont book this company, looks like they are going bust and taking everyones money with them.

Where have you read this sovilla? Can you provide further info? I haven't booked with them myself but know some other brides who have.

I got a message from him, said he is trying to give everyone their money back but im not holidng my breath.

Said he has lost his house and family too. Although not sure I believe that. There is a group on facebook for all the people he owes money to. His wife also did wedding stationery and she has gone bust too taking alot of money and orders with her.

Well ive just been speaking to him for the last 10 minutes, hes lost his family and hes going to lose his house. Hes not doing anymore wedding videos and is trying to give everyone a refund, although doubt that will happen.

I'm not used darkhouse but I was using his wife for my stationary, it's on her page that she has gone bust and i've seen facebook messages to other brides on a fb group from darkhouse that he's gone bust as well , if you type in warning darkhouse it comes up on there

Wow! I was actually considering this company a few weeks ago, just reading through the "WARNING Darkhouse pictures" group on Facebook and can't believe what this guy is doing!!! I really hope everyone gets their money back, I don't get people that do "scams" in the wedding business - they are ruining potentially the best day of peoples' lives! Just like to say thank you to the HIB togs and vogs that warned me away from this when I asked for advice on here about it! It is so easy to go for it though when it seems the best price ☹️

So sorry to hear this. Have you tried filing a complaint with Trading Standards too? If they have so many complaints as has been mentioned, they may be able to help you to get some sort of compensation.

There are so many unscrupulous people out there, it makes my blood boil when I read things like this. I can't understand why people start up in business offering deals at stupid prices because it's obvious that they can't make any money charging fees so low so why lure people into something that can't possibly succeed - I do hope you do get your money back.

Hi girls.

I am the person who started the facebook group in order to prevent more brides being conned ? I have recieved so much abuse from him and his wife including phono calls in the middle of the night with vile racial abuse!
This guy and his wife are full of it! We have all been lied to on so many occasions... They claimed they were never married to begin with back in February because they thought it will be best for their business... They didn't turn up to so many weddings and constantly keep coming up with poor excuses and lies.

I have spoken to Trading Standards today and they confirmed that he is beaching the contract by requesting all the refunds to go through PayPal. I have also spoken to PayPal and they told me NOT to give him any more details and that he cannot issue a refund through PayPal as the payment was made through a Bank Transfer.

I suggest you all speak to Citizen Advise and Trading Standards and also report him to Action Fraud immedietly!

Him and his wife has caused so much grief to all of us we cannot let them get away with it!!! ?

We have nothing to do with these guys, but it's crazy that their website is stil up and advertising for more weddings.... With a link to a refund request on the front page. All very odd and must be a nightmare for everyone involved.

It's worth getting in touch with Watchdog, too. I contacted them about Very a couple of years ago and they called me back for more information because they had had so many complaints. Nice to know that you're helping warn people off a *Very* bad company!

I had booked these also for Dec 2013 and had lost my money. The company was formed by Phil Richie, of Prestige video and photography in Wallasey and they played the clients of one an other. They rebooked with prestigeav and thinking it was a different company, which was the same. Best of luck anyone who has been affected

There does seem to be an awful lot of incorrect information here and I can indeed assure you I am who I say I am. There is also a thought that a competitor is doing this to tarnish the business I have built up over the last 21 years.
