Has your H2B seen any of your accessories?

Chidders, 17 October, 2011 at 09:10 Posted on Planning 0 32

I know the H2B is not meant to see the dress, but I was wondering if your OH has seen your tiara or shoes for example?

Mine's not, but that's because ive not gone any of them yet! lol Although he did say last night he will buy me a Necklace, Ear-rings and Braclet set ive seen at a bridal shop and he will come along with me next week to buy it, so I have no problem with him seeing my Tiara etc.

I haven't brought them yet but my OH has seen the shoes I want on the Internet. Once I get them I'll potter around the house in them to make sure I can walk in them so he'll see them then anyway. He's also seen the headband I am considering too. It's difficult not to tell him because we share everything.

Also I am terrible at keeping secrets, and I don't know how I'll restrain myself from showing him the dress! (when I pick one)

I think this completely a matter of choice.

I haven't let my H2B see any of my accessories so far, although I only have a few.

The first thing I bought was my Tiara and as it is in the theme of my dress I have chosen to not show it too him.

To be honest I don't really think he'll be interested in the accessories just the finished product Smiley smile

I didn't show Mr C anything, not the dress, the shoes, the jewellery, the flowers... it was all a complete surprise!!

H2B saw my shoes because I decided to wear them a few months before to my cousin's wedding (much to the horror of my photographer, I wasn't bothered about the shoe shot or shoes generally!) He thought he had been let in on a big secret as he knew they were cream?!

No. Partly because I want to keep it a surprise but partly because he wouldn't want to see them.

My tiara complements my dress, but you wouldn't know that unless I said. My BM dresses also complement my dress so I didn't really want to show him those either. When I got back from ordering them on the weekend, I showed him the colour swatch and he said he didn't want to hear any more about them.

I think he wants everything to be a surprise on the day.

We were in Australia when I found my wedding shoes so OH saw them as we were shopping together. I am not too bothered though as the rest is a suprise.

I think my H saw my shoes but I can't really remember. He definitely saw my jewellery but not the tiara as it wasn't anything like he expected me to wear so I didn't want to give the game away there. I wasn't really fussed about what he saw and very nearly showed him the dress. He knew I was having calla lillies as they where the theme for the invitations and his buttonhole had a calla lilly. I was more precious about him not knowing I had a veil for some reason.

My boy saw my shoes, my hair flowers, my unassembled brooch bouquet, the BM dresses and jewellery. Not sure he saw my jewellery though. And he kind of saw the dress - he was holding the hanger/dress bag while I fiddled with it (the opening of the dress bag was facing me, not him) and the light was shining through the dress bag a bit. He closed his eyes sharpish though. All I got from him was "It's not very big but I knew it wouldn't be anyway".

I've not got any of mine yet but I think I'll keep them as a suprise. Unlike my dress though, I wouldn't freak if he saw them.

My OH was sat next to me when I ordered my shoes. The only reason he was there though was he wanted to know what he was spending $325 on!!

My OH saw my shoes, because I showed him the original ones that came and were too small (I thought I was out of luck getting them my size, then a miracle occurred)

Then he saw my bouquets cos he was there when my aunt brought them to show me.

He has not seen the dress, tiara or jewellery, but he knows I'm probably having a veil.

He saw a picture of my shoes because he is a bad, bad man and can't keep his nose out of where it shouldn't be!

He's not seeing them or anything else I'm wearing for real before the wedding though Smiley smile he thinks this is mighty unfair as I have been to all his suit fittings, but I told him that I cannot be held responsible for what tradition dictates we must do Smiley winking

Why pander to a tradition that you don't agree with then? It's a stoopid tradition IMHO, it's not the best way to start a marriage by keeping secrets from each other!

My OH has seen everything - outfit, accessories, shoes - in fact he's been with me when I bought most of the stuff. And I've been with him when he got his outfit. The only thing he hasn't seen is his own underpants because I made them (well, decorated them!) and it will be a surprise on the morning of our wedding.

The winky face meant to get across that i'm more using the tradition as an excuse not to let him see. He only wants to see because I don't want him too, it's more just a bit of fun on his part because I get in a tizzy Smiley smile

I don't think him not seeing my wedding outfit really counts as the sort of secret that is going to doom my marriage. It's nice to surprise each other now and again.

Yes. It's only the dress he hasn't seen. He even took the pics of my tiara and shoes for my records and he's seen me walking round in the shoes to wear them in!

I was too excited not to show him mine hehe. I managed to gt some absolute bargins online so snapped up some shoes and then a tiara last week. I'm so chuffed with them. I did ask if he wanted to and he was actually quite intrigued. I reckon he's now thinking of what the dress may look like and it's funny watching his face when he does ?

I would love to show my OH my dress as I think he'll love, but that's also a great reason not to show him! I showed his mum (as we live with her and I have the dress here) and she said that he would love it and would adore me in it! So another reason not to show him. I think he does want that first look to be a total surprise. I suggested having photos before the cerenomy and having a 'first glance' as some americans do but he really didn't like that idea.

He has, however, seen my shoes as they are currently white and I will be dying them lavender when the colours are decided on and we have swatches.

He has said he will buy the jewellery for my birthday present so I will happily select that with him.

I think I'll keep my hair accessories a secret, I've just decided that I want silk/chiffon flowers on a comb. I think that could give too much away about the overall style I'm going for. Not that he'd see that!

OH not seen the dress and won't see the dress. However, I've spoken to him about accessories and he's seen the shoes I've ordered but in his mind they are just a pair of shoes and he's not overly interested in them! Don't know what he's thinking, especially as they were a bargain!

Him indoors insisted on seeing my shoes because, and I quote, he wanted to see 'what £325 shoes look like and why the hell are they necessary when no one will see them'.

Obviously he doesn't know my dress is tea length.

My tiara has been in it's box in the living room for a few weeks now but I'd be shocked if he's bothered to look! And he bought me the diamond and sapphire earrings I'm wearing so has obviously seen those.

OH has seen my dress - well a picture of the stlye but doesn't know colour or anything else I'm having done to it. He's looked through some pics online and the trusty wedding mags and pointed out things that look nice but that is pretty much it - oh and has looked at the options I've been looking at for flowers. Maybe nearer the time when I'm a bit moreorganised and have done somemore shopping he'll see more.......but then, maybe not Smiley smile

He has seen my shoes but those are the only accessories I have so far. I think if I get any pretty undies I will keep those as a surprise but wouldn't worry to much about him seeing any jewellery etc.

My OH has seen my shoes, bridesmaids dresses, flowers and my lingerie as he bought them for my boudoir shoot and he'll see them in the album on the wedding morning along with my tiara and veil.

The only thing I don't want him to see is my dress.
