    Hi Amy

I wouldn't worry - i felt exactly the same, dress shopping became a chore!

I really like my dress but i keep thinking - what if no-one else likes it, what is i look a mess etc etc.

My OH has reassured me that i will look amazing whatever my dress looks like - just hoping he is right! lol

If you ahve tried on that many dresses and you ahven't liked any other one then i would say that you have probably made the right choice, i just dont think everyone gets the WOW moment (until the day! ?)

Hiya, it depends what the shops policy is, i found my dress 1st one on! i went to a closing down sale in croydon, i live in nottingham - so a while away. i wanted a hollywood dreams dress, the big princess style, everyone is going to be let down if i didnt get a princess dress, as they now its exactly me! I had seen the shop online, and kept looking back at the dress, went to try it on and it was the 1, everything i wanted, neckline, train, veil, thousands of swarvoskis! so much more aswell but everything, the RRP of the dress and veil is £3350, it was in the sale at £1000 and i offered £700 and she accepted, she was selling due to her back problems and couldnt carry on. i felt amazing, not only cuz of the dress but the price!! everyone loves a bargain

I have had dress wobbles, i went with the first one, but everytime i look at it (its stored in a trible canvas wardrobe cuz couldnt find anything big enough!) i know its right

How do you mean not what you thought you would end up with? are you talking about the style?

When you look at it, does it bring tears to your eyes, excitement, rush all over your body or make your heart beat faster? mine does, but on the otherhand, if i go to my mums (my dress is there) i will always run up stairs to say hiya to it - im scared its lonely!!! so i may be crazzy.....

I have had dress wobbles and think it has mainly been because the dress I have ended up with is completely different to what I imagined. I ordered my dress after much thought, I hadn't been looking for all that long so wasn't sick of dress shopping and I was sure at the time that the dress was "the one". But I have moments of doubt and all I do is reassure myself that I felt amazing in it at the time. I also have deliberately not looked at other dresses on line- it is so tempting to start looking at websites and doing searches then comparing.

    Hi,

I felt the exact same once I had bought my dress, I loved it on, was really excited but as soon as I said 'I'll have it', the deposit was paid and we were out of the shop, i started feeling very nervous and sick about whether I had done the right thing...I think it's probably due to the amount of money the dress cost etc!

I had with me my bridesmaid and step mum with me when I bought it, neither cried or anything but both said they liked it, my mum came with me when My dress came in to the shop and still wasnt over keen just said, it's nice...

Still, am confident I have the right dress for me!

I paid the deposit on mine yesterday and even though I know it's stunning and it's the first one I tried on 2 months ago and have now gone back to I've spent all day worrying about it! Silly really because deep down I know it's perfect. Perfectly natural to have wobbles I think, it's the most important dress you'll ever buy after all.

I could have written that post myself, i think it is to do with the expense of the dress and you realise once you put the deposit down its yours and there is no changing without a lot of hassle. it gets better i promise! x

It's normal that you want to look perfect on the most important day of your life.

It's normal that you choose a dress that you think is the perfect one for you.

However, it also appears that most people go through periods of doubt wondering if there is a 'more perfect' dress out there for them.

Maybe there is, maybe there isn't. But it doesn't matter. You've picked the dress you think is 'the one' and paid a deposit for it.

You had your reasons for picking it. Now you've picked it, push the doubts from your mind. You'll spend the next however many months really nervously wondering if you've made the right decision - and the simple fact is you most likely have.

When "your dress" comes in to the shop and you go for a trial fitting, that'll be the time you'll realise that you have been worrying about nothing. Sure, it probably needs a bit of pinning here and there to make it fit properly, but it's the overall design that you fell in love with originally.

Then when you arrive on the day at the side of your soon to be husband, you'll remember that's the moment you've been waiting for. He will, no doubt, find it as stunning as everyone else in the room.

I know how you feel Amy! I tried on over 30 dresses. I originally wanted a lacey dress with no bling but that sort of dress really didn't look right on me so of course the dress that did look right was a blingy dress! The dress that I actually chose was one that I had originally said no to earlier. It looked totally different on though.

As soon as I had paid the deposit for it I came out of the shop wondering if I had chosen the right one. My mum kept saying how good it looked on and that I tried on so many different dresses (all different styles and shapes) that this was the right one as I felt comfortable in it and didn't want to take it off!

I was still worrying up until my dress came into the shop and I tried it on again, it was even better than I remembered it.

Did you take any photos of yourself in it? I kept looking at the photos to remind myself of what it looked like. x

If you could see yourself walking down the ailse in it, then it's the one for you! I think many people (me included) end up with a dress which isn't the type they thought they would go for. That's why everyone advises you to try on styles you may not think you want and to listen to the ladies in the shops as they know what suits people. If you felt special trying on the sample, just imagine how you'll feel when it's actually yours and fits properly!

Even though I'm saying this, I'm having the same thoughts as you but I'm going back next week to try on the sample for my bridesmaids to see as it's only my mum who has seen it so far. I'm hoping that will erase any doubts!

So glad I'm not alone on having second thoughts about my dress! I started to completely panic about it and started considering how much money I would lose if I bought a new one! I decided not to stress and to not look at the pic on my mobile....I actually looked at it by accident a few months later and was like WOW my dress is amazing actually! Now I remember why I chose it and I love it all over again! Can't wait to wear it!

Im hoping it does get better....trying to make my h2b understand, but bless dont think he has a clue ... so your all i have to talk to about it really.

i didnt think i was a stressy person, but this whole wedding is stressy looking back wish i had just kept it simple, and go to a nice country and get married abroad haha...i little less stress maybe...not as much to organise...but then again i could be wrong.

I know exactly what you mean I am having the same issues I brought my dress after being to many shops I had tried this dress on 4 or 5 times. I thought I had found my dress until I went bridesmaids dress shopping and thought it wouldn't hurt to try on some dresses I tried it on again and decided I liked it. I saw that it was in the sale and was only £300 which was lovely as have a budget. I know worry that I brought it just because it was in the sale and that I will see something somewhere and decide I like that more ?
