have no idea what to get the bridesmaids

vikmast, 11 June, 2011 at 18:26 Posted on Planning 0 11

Hello. I need some help. ive gotta get the gifts for the bridal party, and everyone is simple to buy for except my maids. I really wanna get somthing they can keep and that is the same, but they are all so different. My chief maid isnt very girly usually, so compact mirror or neclace is out of the question for her. everywhere I look I see mirrors, necklaces, bracelets, triket boxes etc and i dont want anything like this.

Can anyone suggest anything or anywhere that sells gifts that arnt the usual bridesmaid gifts please

I bought my sister (who isn't girly either) a big silver star keyring that I have had engraved and I have bought silver jewellery findings and some charms to put on the keyring so it's like a bag charm/keyring but it's personalised with her favourite things as charms (guitar, her initial, etc).

    What about a photo frame?

    Pen?

    Paperweight?

I make these bespoke pictures. They can be personalised with a message of your choice & the colours can all be changed to matchthe wedding theme.

Even the hair colour can be matched up.

This pic is with 2 brides in but I can make a pic with just 1 bmaid in

Feel free to contact me if I can help at all

I was going to suggest my personalised bracelets but that won't suit so maybe have a look at I Want One Of Those as I think they have some quirky gifts.

For little gifts I've got bookmarks, wine charms and keyrings which can be personalised in a few different ways

I've created various keyrings for a hitcher who didn't want to give their BMs jewellery. Each one has Swarovski crystals and a silver plated initial. Others have ordered these as presents for people who have done readings.

My only other idea would be a voucher for afternoon tea all together but that's not something to keep. How about a jewellery box?

I've bought my girls necklaces to wear on the day, but i'm going to get them something else to say thank you. I really like Lyseys Design ideas. I think getting them all something that is personal to them might be a better idea than trying to get them all something the same if they are all so different?

I've already bought my two sisters some shoes that they really wanted and they'll wear them on the day, so i've just two more gifts to get.

    xx

Hi, If you need any help with more ideas just give me a shout. I've done mobile phone charms, bag charms etc before so here are a few more pictures. Everything can be changed by using their favourite colours, initials as charms or anything else that suits them really. Most of the designs are only £5 - £7.

This is the bag charm and uses butterfly crystals but hearts, star, flowers are also available. x

    Aww thanks Sherrie,

I sell them in a few boutiques around here too, though the mark up those shops put on them are terrible, still if they can get away with it..

For my BMs i have got them all dressing gowns for the morning with their names on and Bridesmaid on the back!! I am also in the point of making photo books for them all, with photos of us all as babies before we knew each other then as we have grown up together! with messages throughout! That way something to keep and its not costing the earth!

I think the book is a great idea as it's personal and something you've clearly put a lot of thought into. x

You don't have to get them all the same thing. I think its much nicer to get them all something personal than just churn out the same old bracelet, photo frame, etc. (Unless those are personal of course!) ?
