We booked our venue in August (we get married on 1 September next year) but OH hadn't actually got round to proposing yet. I knew he'd bought the ring but he was waiting for the "right moment".
We've had a busy few months and haven't had chance for a "date night" or similar for ages. I've been wondering when he was going to do it for weeks and I think he just got to the stage where it had to be now or never as we wanted to be able to announce it properly (although most friends and family already knew).
Our son was at his mum's on Sunday morning and we had a very rare lie in together. He suddenly turned around, pulled something out of the drawer and said "Do you want your ring then?" ? Talk about romance!! But I am thrilled to finally have the ring and can't stop showing it off!
