Aww hun, if you love the dress, feel amazing in it and feel it is the 'one', then I'm sure your H2B will think you look amazing in whatever you choose

You have to go with what you love. You will look amazing no matter what as it is what you love. Your H2B has not seen you and I know my H2B will probably not expect to see me in what I am hoping for.

A friend of mine said her hubby commented before the day on how "I hate those silly lace bolero things." She was planning on wearing one of those "silly lace bolero things". She wore it on the day and he barely batted an eyelid and still thought she looked beautiful. I guarantee on the day, no matter what preconceptions he has, he'll think you look amazing.

I've been clothes shopping with him about and picked up an item on the hanger that he's then slated with much venom only for to sneakly buy it when he's not looking or around. I come to wear about a month later when we're going out only to be highly complimented by him and i should wear more in that style

Men don't know about these things. Some women don't either! (possibly me included at times!)

On the day, if you feel amazing, you'll look amazing and he'll think you're a godess no matter what he thinks of your dress. Afterall, you're the woman he loves, he's marrying you not the dress!

As long as you feel good in the dress you've picked, order it. If you're not sure it's 'the one' then by all means carry on looking a little while but don't let a throwaway comment from him put you off. Chances are he'll see someone in a similar dress to the one he's slated and say it's lovely - the cut and the fit on the person wearing it makes a difference to a dress too you know!

My husband told me numerous times, before we were engaged, that he hates all wedding dresses and just doesn't get them.

He loved it on the day (and isn't the type to dish out compliments). You'll be fine - choose what you love.

i had the same feelingsa as you, my dress was huge, princessy, pink and fluffy, everything Mr f describes as hating.....on the day he said ;the dress is so you no one could have worn and dress liek that and made it as right as you do'

I had the same thing with my OH and worried for all of 10seconds. I loved my dress and felt blooming amazing in it. The better you feel in it, the better you look IMO and when I reached him at the top of the aisle he said 'WOW'.

It will be perfect.

I think it's 'normal' to worry about that a little bit... but that's because it's a BIG deal and if I buy something to wear for a party or something, I normally ask him what he thinks before I go out in it.

Am paranoid he won't like my dress but at the same time, as others have said - guys dont really know what they like until they see it on you.

I was umming and ahhing over my first choice of dress for a while because although I liked it, I happened to go past it a few times when flicking through photos and OH was going 'yes, yes', no, no, no god no, no, yuk, no' one of the no's was mine so I did it a few times and he still said no even on a different model which made me panic. Then I went back to the dress I first saw and loved and he walked past and said 'oh that's a nice one' along with another Sophia Tolli. He knows I have chosen one of those two dresses now, I think he knows which one but I don't mind as he hasn't seen ME in it.

I am sure your H2B will love whatever you wear on the day, I think it's hard for them to imagine us in something we wouldn't normally wear, espcially when seen on a model that's done up and has some very glam settings around her!

My oh hasnt seen my dress but has seen one similar and said it was horrible! he also said he hates those "big dresses"

I went to a wedding with my hubby a few months before our wedding and the bride had a gorgeous, fitted and very detailed, sparkly Maggie dress. I thought it was gorgeous. Husbnad commnets about he how he doens't like too detailed dresses and it detracts etc and wedding dresses should be plain and simple.

I had already bought mine - "Jolie" by mon cheri which is pretty big and princessy with loads of detail on it so just resigned myself to the fact that he would hate it, but he absolutely loved it,thought it was amazing and truly believes it's the best wedding dress he's ever seen.

Your hubby will love it on the day!
