Healthy takeaway?

Meep, 17 April, 2009 at 20:51 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 10

I am physically too shattered to go out and get something for dinner but am starving.

Can't face stodge or pizza - is there any such this as a healthy option or close? I'm not fussy on style of food (Chinese, Thai etc) but want something that isn't 1,000,000,000 calories with 3 tonnes of fat - any recs? (Don't eat red meat but that's my only limit)

Thanks

My vote would be a stir-fried vegetable dish with plain boiled rice. Dull but low in calories. And probably taste. If you're going to enjoy a takeaway (and you didn't actually mention enjoyment), then have What The Hell You Like and Sod The Calories. ?

My healthy (ish) takeaway options are:

chicken tikka, boiled rice, salad, poppadum

    chicken kebab, loads of salad

chicken or prawn stir fry with veg, boiled rice

green thai curry (chicken, fish, veg), boiled rice

When im in that mood I tend to get an Indian and have a tandori / tikka chicken (so no sauce) and a boiled rice.

No such thing as a healthy takeaway. It's Friday ... just drink wine and lots of it, then you will forget you were hungry ?

A chicken shish kebab with chilli sauce, salad and pitta is fairly healthy.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've just got around to ordering and have gone for chicken poodle soup and vegetable noodles - I'm really wishing it was my gran's homemade soup that was on its way though, I think I must be coming down with something though as that is my 'ill' food ?
