hello!

Hi all!

I'm a newbie to the whole wedding planning thing. Got engaged on Valentine's day and just started looking around. I have no idea what I want from my wedding day (other than to get married!) so feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment.

A little info about me: I live in Cheshire with my fiance & our 2 year old daughter. He has just been made redundant and is applying for jobs locally and abroad. As we don't know where we will be living in a few months, we don't know if we will get married locally or elsewhere so at the moment we are weighing up the options and prices. We are currently looking to get married at some point next year, but may bring it forward if we have to move so I want to have an idea in my mind of what I want in case we have to plan in a hurry! I'm sure I'll have lots of questions as I start to get into the planning but already finding the advice on here useful ?

Thanks for reading, thought I should introduce myself as I've been reading for a couple of days now!

    Thanks ?

No date yet, we are waiting to see where we end up. There's a strong chance we may end up relocating to the US so that would really change things. My first choice would be to avoid the big white wedding (I don't like to be centre of attention) and have a small wedding abroad then a big party at home for my huge family. If we move then we might have to plan something quickly locally or put it off a while until we've settled into our new home. Eek!
