Hello!

Hello ladies

I was on here before when I was planning my wedding under a different username (although I didn't post that much), then stopped coming on for a while after the wedding. I've been back lurking for a while so I thought I'd introduce myself and say hello so I don't seem like a weirdo who just reads what you all write but never replies ?

I live in Italy with my Italian husband and miss the girly sort of chats with other English people sometimes so hopefully this will be a good place to do it Smiley winking looking forward to getting involved in the discussions and cake eating =)

?

YK ok!! It's pretty easy to learn really, think of how much you already know: ciao, spaghetti, pizza, confetti, cafe nero, espresso, cappuccino, pasta, bella, foto, ballerina, piano, grotto, pannacotta, broccoli, ditto, vice versa... the list is endless! Where were you in Italy? I'm on the sunny island of Sardinia ?️?

Hello! Definitely Sardinia! But I might be biased. Here it's full of the most gorgeous beaches (the kind of thing you find in the Caribbean.. see profile pic) and it's HOT and the food is amazing. Up until last week it was still 35 degrees.. now it's a more acceptable 30ish. What sort of holiday do you want and what do you want to do? If you want and help/deciding planning just ask Smiley laugh Oh and there are flamingoes too! hence the username Smiley winking

I'm just outside Cagliari, the capital in the South of the island. I assume from your wedding date you'll be going late July/beginning of August? It'll be nice and baking then =D While the South where I am is lovely and has lots of nice beaches, for a honeymoon I'd suggest the North actually, maybe staying in Alghero (nice city with good restaurants, caves to visit by boat) and visiting places like Castelsardo, La Maddelena, Bosa, Stintino.. It would be best to hire a car because buses aren't brilliant and trains are practically non existent but driving around is fine. Some airlines fly into Alghero but if not you could fly to either Cagliari or Olbia and get a bus/hire a car from there. Be prepared to put on a few kilos with pizza and ice cream =D

Hmm, so as it happens I'm already an expert! Job done, you are an excellent teacher!

We were in Ivrea, visited Turin and walked in the Mountains in part of the Aosta Valley.

Hello! Nice to know there are other people here with Italian connections =D Sardinia's so far away from mainland Italy everywhere there is faaar! I'd love to visit some more of it myself, I've never even seen Rome.. only Milan, Venice and Sicily (which were lovely) =)

Hello! I've never been to Italy, sadly. My former housemate's sister got married in Sorrento, and then he managed to get pneumonitis and wasn't allowed to fly so missed it. I was hoping he'd bring me some sort of religious memorabilia back - I LOVE religious tat.
