Hello everyone, I am new to Hitched and just wanted to introduce myself.

We got engaged at the start of June whilst on holiday, we have found our venue and this morning I rang and booked the registrar! Need to take my parents to the venue to have a look and pay the deposit and then we have our date set - Saturday 13 April 2013! I am so excited today I can't concentrate at work, don't know how I'm going to get any work done for the next 21 months! It's sooooo long away but our venue had no Saturdays available in 2012 and few left in spring or summer 2013.

I'm already finding this forum really useful

Thanks for the welcomes! Venue is Whitley Hall Hotel in Sheffield, we viewed tons of places but kept going back there. Very excited!

Hiya - not seen that venue. I'm out on the south eastern outskirts of Sheffield, and will be getting married at Ringwood Hall near Chesterfield

We looked at Ringwood Hall, really liked it there too, but we went for Whitley as its closer to us, it's near Ecclesfield and Chapeltown.
