Hello and a help with glasses please, Welsh Totty?

Hello All!

How are you? I home from hospital, but not able to come online much at all as I am sleeping lots trying to combat infection and pain.

My hospital stay was not without drama, but I won't bore you all with the details now, I am a bit low and don't want to drag the whole world down in addition to those who can't escape my tears and moaning at home, so I will be back properly when I am smiling more.??

I just needed some help please, all of my glasses (long distance) are fooked- most have scratches on them, and the only pair that doesn't, do not fit me properly and I can't wear them as they slip down and fall off completely if I look down.

I trip to the optitcan is out of the question for a number of weeks. I remember a few people buying some glasses online, I think Welsh Totty posted a link to a really reasonably priced company?

So, that's why I am hear (sorry it took so long and so many spelling mistakes to get to the point) Can anyone recommend my online companies to buy prescription glasses please?

Welsh Totty what was the company you used? I remember they had tons of different designer frames.

Thank you so much all, I look forward to catching up with all the news soon.

Sorry if I don"t come back to this for a little while, I will do and i am very grateful for any help.

Mf x

Not Welsh Totty but I have also bought glasses online, from Glasses Direct. They have a range, from cheap ones (about £20) to designer ones. They also have an offer at the moment when you pay £5 and you get sent 4 pairs of your choice to try at home, then you get £5 off your purchase. Might be just what you need if you want to try them at home.

    Hope you feel better soon.

Hi there, I've used glasses direct before and they have always been great.

I've just bought another pair as I stupidly stepped on my glasses on the weekend.I've just bought this pair for £29.00 (which are now reduced to £19.00 [:'(])

you can also use a voucher code to get 10% off at the moment. the code is highsummer2009 which is valid until the 6th Sept. Hope you feel better soon.

I too have used Glasses Direct and they were really good, got varifocals for about £45 instead of the almost £400 that a high street optician was quoting.

And hope you are feeling better and in less pain soon.
