Hi there Matilda, Welcome to hitched.......best get a jiggle on.......lots to do and not much time.....for example just had a mad panic myself.....my wedding is 1st June 2013, couldn't shop for bridesmaid dresses before now as my sister was pregnant, her baby is now 6weeks old so we went shopping and to buy from a bridal shop we really need to order BEFORE xmas to make sure it is here in plenty of time for adjustments!!!! Hence panic! (apparently most dresses are made in china and they stop work for 2 weeks over chinese new year!!!) Didn't take that into consideration! I don't know if thats all bridal shops or just this one in particular!!!!

As others have said best get cracking (especially if you want to get hitched on a weekend in June) venues and decent photographers can get booked up pretty quick!

Can't recommend any local venues but yep - venue first!

Have a think about your guest list now - you might be surprised by how many people are on it. I know I was!

Then think about how much you can realistically afford for the venue.

You'll then be best provisionally holding the venue while you contact the registrar or church to make sure they're free.

Dress should be pretty high on your list of priorities and photographer too.

I think your brave planning with such short notice I would be a mess lol, the ladies on here have been wonderful so far for me and there is so much inspiration on here!

How did your OH propose? Whats the ring like?!

As others have said, get the big stuff booked asap! Our venue only had two summer saturdays left and thats for 2014!

Congratulations! I only got engaged recently too and have provisionally booked the church for July 13th next year so we are on a similar time frame. I want a short engagement and didn't realise everything would take so long to plan! Its good to know I am not the only one! xxx
