I'm doing Ok-ish I guess. Sadness kind of comes in waves but I have figured out what my worst 'trigger points' are and am avoiding those things at the moment until it's a bit easier to deal with. We have been bogged down with funeral arrangements (had no idea how expensive funerals are!). In many ways I am relieved Mr RK isn't suffering anymore as that was harder to see, but nothing really prepares you for the loss. I have only had one slightly mad bout of crying in the supermarket over a box of weetabix. Random! But have kept it together otherwise.

Meant so much having you guys here and being able to read all your messages.

Oh and if anyone has any good websites that give advice on writing eulogys and that sort of thing I'd appreciate it as I'm trying to get some words down and it's a bit tricky. Am off work for a while so will be about here a bit more than usual! Glad to see there's not been any other major dramas and am looking forward to some flashes from the weddings this week (Pugsley!)

No idea on websites for eulogies etc... but when my OH's mum died two years ago, OH sat and wrote a poem about her and his brother read it out at the funeral. Just speak from the heart xxxx

I've been around here a lot less lately and completely missed your journey on the other thread. I just wanted to send you some weirdy internet stranger love - I have to say that I didn't quite 'get' the Otters until recently, I'm humbled to see all the strength and support you guys offer one another, it's really quite beautiful.

Sorry I can't be much help with the eulogy, except to say keep it real, be yourself, tell the truth, say what you want to say not what you think people want to hear. Best of luck xxx

I'm a bit of a random lurker around here so I don't think we've officially met, but I think you're pretty awesome and I'm glad you're back.

I'm rubbish at writing nice things, I always overthink it and then it doesn't come out right. I remember at my grandad's funeral my Mum and her siblings all wrote a nice memory or a funny story they had of my grandad and my Uncle put them together and read it. I remember because my Mum included one of the far fetched stories my grandad used to tell us when we were little to entertain us, so even though it was sad it had people laughing and remembering how much fun he was.

Am loving the booby hugs ATB (oYo) I wish mine looke like this but mine are probably more <.><.> (very small). Hmm let's start a thread trying to model our bits using keyboard symbols.
