Hello! Im engaged finally yay,Oh and flash!

Hello!

I'm engaged! Yay!!

My partner and I have a wedding venue so there's been a lot of pressure on us, when will you get married etc etc, well he finally popped the question and I'm so happy !!

we went on a ski hol to France, he planned romantic proposal - slopes + champagne, u get the picture ;-)

Unfortunately what he hadn't bargained on was me completely stacking it on the first afternoon, ripping my ligaments and flying home pronto tonto!

so he had to improvise and ask me before I went, he pretended to set up the camera for a group photo with our friends but really he was recording his proposal which, even though I looked like death, I will treasure forever and am so so glad he did that.

So now to plan! We are having a DIY backyard type wedding in our garden, very british / vintage / rustic luxe type, we live on a farm in the middle of the country. I'm hoping to be able to use lots of localally sourced produce and suppliers, make lots ourselves, grow all my own flowers and do my own decor etc, as we do this sort of thing for couples week in week out so it's amazing to finally be doing my own!

Everyone thinks we are going to get married at our own venue next door, but no matter how much we love it work is work, and I think some will be quite surprised with our rustic style maybe.

So now I am planning a little celebratory dinner, although on crutches so not quite sure how I will do that just yet but sure I will manage, ish.

I am looking forward to getting stuck in and reading peoples posts for advice. I usually am just on this site for the admin section etc so it's so cool to be on the'bride side'!!

This is my ring, I love it https://www.burrells.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/large/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/1/0/10-10-218_a_l_1.jpg

    Congratulations, what a lovely story!

We are having a similar theme for our wedding in a converted barn! Pintrest is a good starting point to bundle things together.

Where are you based in UK? I have found a great Vintage Hire Company in Exeter, Devon.

    Good luck Smiley smile
