HELP!!!!

Cakes3, 25 June, 2009 at 23:57 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi I am having a nightmare on deciding what to buy for B/Maids, BM, Ushers, Parents!

I was thinking smellies, perfume etc but wanted to give them something that they can keep. I thought about bracelets for the B/Maids but now i'm not not sure because the ones that I would like to buy are too expensive and as I have 8 bridesmaids & 7 Ushers I will have to re-mortgage!

I am looking at spending no more than £70 per person.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks x

We bought our best man and ushers personalised hip flasks (with their initials on them) ... the bridesmaids got a necklace from sheila fleet but they are quite distinctive and so might not suit your colours/theme www.sheila-fleet.co.uk

    ? (I didn't spend anywhere near £70 on the hipflasks though .. they were £20-£30 if I remember ?

Wow - £70 per person? Thats super generous!

Why not ask the HIBs on here to come up with something jewellery related for your BMs? I'm sure they could come up with something pretty impressive for your budget....

Also Ebee's suggestion of hip flasks is a good one for the guys. We got our Page Boy a tankard with his name engraved on it ...

Shelia Fleets stuff is GORGEOUS btw!! But as they're not being given the gifts to wear on the day (I presume??) it doesn't matter what colour it is??

I'm feeling a bit of a cheapskate now! I bought my 3 bridesmaids a necklace/earling and bracelet set to wear on the day. I had the same set, and also made an alice band for myself the same too. They were about £10 per set form an American ebay site, but they matched my dress perfectly. I gave them to them on my hen do, and said they were for the day. I also made a little goodie bag for them for the hen do, with a wine glass charm, face pack ect. Just to add to it all.

The ushers got a zippo lighter each, the best man somethign for his xbox (he's obsessed!). We got our parents a digital photoframe each rather then flowers, and then gave them a memory card full of wedding photos later on.

I dont think u are a cheapskate, it sounds lovely, im just a bit obsessed with Tiffany (not the price though) and have enough time to put money aside for these gifts. Im not very creative or i would have loved to make them something to wear on the day, I even tried making a sparkly hair comb that looked like a 5 yr old did it oops!

I bought a silver compact mirror for my BM. Found it in a local shop and it had a square cut out of the front with little crystals in it so quite unusual and very reasonably priced. Wanted to get it engraved but guy said it was too risky.
