loobyg, 18 October, 2008 at 18:14 Posted on Planning 0 21

I have stocked up on covent garden soup, lemon juice, honey and fishermens friends (can't have lockets or any 'boiled' sweets as they crack and give me mouth ulcers)....

Oh no poor you!!! I always drink gallons of water/hot squash when I have a coldy/flu thing. Like at least 2 litres and i find it does work quite well.

Have some clear chicken soup and don't have anything dairy as it increases (ick) mucus production.

Hope you feel better soon xxx

God sorry!!! I didn't know. Well clear soup is good because it is soothing and hydrating - and I meant drink 2 litres of water/squash a day ?

Oh and sleep lots and watch dvds/chill

Echinacea to boost your immune system, also vitamin c and zinc to zap the cold! Lots of fluids and rest.

Hope you don't get ill, but if all else fails I find a couple of those max strength capsules really good. Even better if taken with a small amount of alcohol!!!!

Beechams cold & flu liquid sachets & a box of kleenex anti viral. That's what's got me through the last week.

Another vote for Beechams cold and flu, and lots and lots of vitamin C. High dose tablets, and lots of citrus fruit. Plenty of water. You'll be fine by the big day, and with all the extra water, have fantastic skin too!
