Help! Argh installing flash player

ARGGGHHHHHHH! Mr WT isnt here (resident IT expert) so I cant ask him. Im trying to install Adobe Flash player (to use with Firefox and with IE so Ive tried it both ways) and it tells me its installed but it fecking hasnt! I want it to be able to use an online room planning thingy, but no matter what I do it keeps telling me to install it, I do, and its not there.

Whats going wrong? I dont geddit!

    Run this http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/494/cpsid_49419.html then re-install if necessary.

    Its there in the control panel - Add/ remove progs, but it just doesnt do anything! Mr WT is home now and he is also totally stumped too. Thanks for the advice though, anything is worth a try!

    If you are updating the flashplayer, you need to uninstall you current version. There is a link on the flashplayer website to be able to do this. Once your old version is uninstalled, you can install the new version.

    Fiorelli, thanks for that but I didnt have flash player installed at all as it was uninstalled a few months ago. I have since found out though that a collaegue of mine in work has just this weekend had the very same problem and he has a brand new computer.
