HELP- DRESS CHOICES (pictures)

Cache13, 9 June, 2014 at 22:37 Posted on Planning 0 30

I am really struggling to choose my wedding dress. Originally I wanted something fitted and silk with quite a full fishtail skirt. Now I am wanting something softer and much more bohemian feeling that is still very bridal. The feel of the day is a country garden wedding; lots of burlap, woodland flowers etc.

Apologies if the pictures are small as they were taken on a phone and didn't transfer to computer well. HELP!!

I think because you have quite big boobs something more structured looks better - it is not my cup if tea rwally but the first one looks fabulous on you. No 2 does nothing for you - I think the softer boho type dresses suit very tall willowy women better. You have a fantastic figure so I would go for something more fitted/hugging.

It's even more confusing you all think so differently! I love One for the shape, Two for the rustic feel, Three I'm not so sure on now, and Four for the softness/easy to wear/boho feel and lightness on a summer day.

But in 1 I'm conscious of strapless as I feel I have a broad back and 4 it's unstructured so I'd have to go hard in the gym!

Hmm, it's not helping we have different opinions is it lol, sorry not a very helpful comment!!! But to give you my opinion, 2 & 4 go very well with the country garden theme and are also the most flattering ?

    Hi Smiley smile

Wow, you look gorgeous in all of them! You have a great figure - you are spoilt for choice!

I think they all look stunning on you, my personal fave though is dress number 2 Smiley smile

I think number 2 is perfect for you. The others do nothing for you at all. No 1 looks like it's a test dress, no three makes your boobs look very wide, no three makes your boobs look a very odd shape, but number 2 is very soft and feminine while having structure in it.

Tbh, i think you've found the right dress yet. None of those you've said, I really love this dress but it doesn't go with my theme to, so I think you should shop around and look at a few more. You can still have your rustic theme and have almost any style of dress and it will go. Perhaps not a black or red meringue type dress, but any others will still go. You need to find the dress that you feel fabulous in. X

I like no1 on you, it looks elegant. You can have straps added. I'm having some wide lace ones added to my dress x

I love number 4. But I'm not sure you've found the one yet? Personally, I found my dress and everything else fitted in around it!

I like number 1 on you but if I'm honest I think you need to keep looking. If you are undecided to this degree I don't think you have found the one.

I also think you should keep looking. If you're deciding between 4 dresses, all completely different, you're not really taken with any of them 'enough' I think!

You're clearly a gorgeous girl with a beautiful figure, so you'll have no trouble finding something that is GREAT rather than just 'nice'. Keep looking.

So, the above message is really my opinion of what you should do. My opinions on the dress are kinda irrelevant as we will all pick different favourite dresses based on our own tastes. With that in mind, I won't bother commenting on the fabrics or styles, as I'll find bits I love about all of them, and bits I'll find fault with. So, no comment on fabrics etc, BUT all I see in dress 4 is boob and cleavage. Not sure that is what you want the lasting impression of your wedding to be, unless you're into the whole Jordan or Gypsy wedding thing? Also think that dress 3 has a wierdly wide bust line. But it could be that the bust area is just too big for you and is gaping out? It's odd against the size of your shoulders. Whilst I have no such comments (boob-related or otherwise) about dresses 1 or 2, that doesn't mean I like those dresses more. I think I'm actually veering towards one of the others....if the bust line was a bit different.

I think 1 and 4 look best, but in keeping with your theme I think number 4! The material the 4th is made from is more floaty which I personally think goes better with a rustic theme.

But to be honest I think they all look great!! Smiley smile x

The 3rd one i think! The first one cuts you off across the bum so it doesnt look too flattering, the 4th one is a bit too "booby" for a wedding and the 2nd one is my 2nd favourite i think Smiley smile

The reason I'm struggling is because number one fit my original brief near perfectly; except actually strapless isn't for me. Number two came as a suprise and is my mums favourite. Number 3 is a definite no for me (originally I was going to have It made with the neckline of dress one). Dress 4 is my sisters favourite and more along the lines of my updated brief. The only issue I have with number 4 is my mum isn't that keen because it's not as structured, and its not as wow to her. The chest area I will sort out so it's not so revealing!

You are right numbers 1-3 aren't right if I'm questioning them. I'm revisiting number 4 on Friday with mum who has only ever seen the photograph so hopefully I can change her mind!

What kind of wedding are you having? This might help you work out what style is best? I'm having a very hippy, boho, retro wedding so my dress fits this - I do like vintage clothes so I guess that's why I chose my dress but it really works with my theme.

Also agree with others that perhaps none of them are the right ones if you are so undecided...

We are getting married in the garden, embracing the countryside we will be surrounded by, reception in a barn, lots of wild flowers, hessian, and flowers!

Im now turning to Pronovias... These look slightly more what I had in mind, especially the Loren dress!

1 and 4 look best, IMO. If I was buying for me (I'm also hourglass) I'd get 1.
