Help - explaining change of career on application form

Hi - I used to be able to think these things through, but my mind is not the same anymore!

I've not worked since Aug 07, was on ML, then chose to be SAHM with my daughter. I was an Operations Manager for a serviced office company, was very involved in day to day running, covered all aspects of staff roles. Prior to that I was a Customer Service Manager managing a 100+ staff call centre.

I'm now applying for a GP receptionist/admin part time role. Do I play down my previous roles as I don't want to get sifted out before interview because they may assume the role isn't challenging enough? I genuinely do not wish to return to the stress & responsibility of my previous working life, but I really don't want the Gp's to think I'm after an easy life - far from it!

How would you detail this on the application? I do meet their 'essential' job requirements but again don't want to come across as flippant about my sills & experience, I really do want this role, it caught my eye & I now feel it's come at the right time for me.

Can anyone offer any help?

Thanks in advance.
