HELP HELP HELP! Venue Theming - UK Party

gladders, 26 August, 2014 at 13:01 Posted on Planning 0 3

Hello - I am new to this site and in desperate need of some help and advice!

Getting married in Cyprus in October this year - 30 guests joining us out there.

We are also having a party back home the week after we get back and I am struggling with theming of the venue. I have a £200 budget and 10 tables to dress. Included in the venue cost is white table cloths. The chairs in the venue are very nice and don't need dressing at all.

The colour scheme is grey and yellow (with bridesmaids in grey dresses with yellow flowers & groomsmen in grey suits with yellow ties). I obvisouly want to continue this theme at the party. With a budget of £20 per table I am struggling to afford vases etc...

Does anyone have any wonderful ideas that could help me make my venue look amazing for not a lot of money?!

Hope to hear from some of you soon!

Glass fishbowls with sunflowers in comes to mind, depending on when you can grow sun flowers but if you only need 10 I cant imagine it will cost the eart as you would only need 10 as they are quite large + tea lights are always cheep

should be roughly £10 per table

    tea lights:

you could use just water, or crystals, pebbles, sand etc... but these are some grey pebbles to stick with the color theme

Ikea have some lovely vases for a few pounds each. Sunflowers or gerberas would be good as you only need a couple per vase x

Just seen this on Pinterest https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/512706738801522569/ which I thought was cute! It wouldn't be too expensive to do either.

You can ask family and friends to keep hold of any decent jam, marmalade, sauce etc jars, wash them out, bobs your uncle, free jars. Then you just need some flowers and lemons! Baby's breath would probably be a fairly low cost option. Depending on the time of year you could go foraging for some yourself. You could also add some grey ribbon around the jar to incorporate the grey from your colour scheme.

You could also add some tea lights for added effect and you can pick a big bag of 100 or 50 up from most places.
