Help - I want a multi-coloured wedding!

MillyMollie, 27 September, 2009 at 08:53 Posted on Planning 0 6

My partner and I really like bright colours and would love a multi coloured theme for our wedding but not sure how to do it without it looking like a kids birthday party. I still want it to look sophisticated but fun and bright. I was thinking maybe a colourful bridesmaid dress with white dress and multicoloured sashed for my flower girls. (we like stripes especially) I can't seem to find anything like this. Any suggestions???

I think would really work as long as you were careful what you put together

There are some ideas here http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&um=1&sa=1&q=bright+wedding&btnG=Search+images&aq=f&oq=&start=0 (you might have to copy and paste, sorry)

That looks really good and the bridesmaid dress would be great for my sis. I'm really struggling to find a multi-coloured bridesmaid dress.

Have you thought qbout having each bridesmaid in a different colour? depending on how many you are having and having ivory sashes on them to break them up? also i saw in a wedding mag the other day that kelsey rose have just launched some new bm dresses in lemon kiwi tulip and tangerine and you can mix and match the dress colours and sashes? the mag pics look nice x

My friend did a 'rainbow' themed wedding last year, I was skeptical but she really pulled it off! She had 5 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls, each a different colour of the rainbow in matching dresses - with a cream sash round the middle. The groomsmen had cravats matching each bridesmaid. My friend had a gorgeous multicoloured bouquet!

Would definately do this if I was having lots of bridesmaid but have decided to just have my sis with two young nieces as flower girls. Now trying to find a brightly coloured dress for my sis. Either multi-coloured or one bright colour with a striped sash. Anyone know where I can get brightly striped sashes from?

i got married 20 years ago? and I had 4 adult BM's ..Lemon , Lilac, MInt Green and Pink .

the flower girl and pageboy were both in white with muticolour sash for FG and multi colour Cummerband for the PG

The bridesmaids flowers were white , mine were all colours and FG had a hanging ball type thing made of multicolour carnations.

there were multi colour floral displays on the tables and I had serviettes in the colours of the b/m's. ( no chair covers in the eighties!)

The flowers were much cheaper because you are not needing all one colour .

Its also a good way to get b/m's in a colour that suits them all.
