Help! - Less than 2 weeks to go!

PrincessKatherine, 27 May, 2012 at 18:58 Posted on Planning 0 16

Hey

Less than two weeks to go and panic starting to set in on those last final few things that still aren't done - one of which being something for my hair.

I'm wearing a long veil for the ceremony but will need to take it off for the evening therefore would like a side tiara that won't break the bank (like most in the bridal stores) I ordered several from Glitzy Secrets to try and all of them unfortunately don't sit on my head properly (although gorgeous) so they'd fall off when dancing - is anyone aware of any other sites as I'm really running out of time.

I also don't think I like my dress anymore Smiley sad Not alot I can do about that.... Oh and it's going to rain! xx

Hiya, I'm getting married in less than 2 weeks too.

Have you tried the department store websites?

I'm not overly worried about the weather yet as it can still all change, if it's still saying rain on friday, then I'll worry Smiley tongue

    Will check ebay now....

I had my second fitting Monday and final this Wednesday just so worried about it and not sure it looks amazing or its the one blah blah....

You're right re the weather but it's a very summer theme wedding - marquee, gardens etc - I'd be so upset if we don't get decent weather.

I'm calm abou the planning and everything else but now it's just the dress...

I didn't feel it with my dress on my 2nd fitting, it was only when I had everything together that I finally felt it.

Awww am sure you look a million dollors Smiley smile you tried it on with veil and all your acessories?

The weather is due to be nice for a while but try not to stress as thats one thing we cant control but am sure no matter the weather your day will be amazing as you're marrying the man you love Smiley smile and loads of brides told me on the actual day they didnt worry about the weather and had a fab day and you really will!

I thought my dress was plain and boring and not very weddingy but i felt special in when i tried in on again, i felt it should be all blingy and full of detail but realised that sort of thing dont suit me but elegant and simple did.

I have tried it on with veil but obviously hair and make up etc not done and I haven't even sorted out my jewellery yet - I've also put on weight in the past few weeks as I've just eaten rubbish and been drinking alot - it's as if I've completely forgotten I'm getting married in two weeks!

I know I can't control the weather but I really am praying for it especially after this gorgeous weekend... No one likes a marquee wedding in the rain Smiley smile

Diet like mad - I'll try but it's still less than 2 weeks away!

Jewellery I haven't got a clue - I'm hoping he's buying me diamond earings and then I think maybe just a simple necklace - I've planned a huge white wedding down to the smallest details but now just can't seem to get a grip and have no jewellery planned...

Are you having your hair up? You could always go for a hair slide thingy instead to avoid uncomfortable headbands?

I am sure the dress will be perfect when you have the whole thing together - it's all the little things that make it real! I am sure with your hair and make-up done you will feel a million dollars!! If you haven't decided on your jewellery could you borrow something that you like from a friend or family member? I am borrowing my mum's pearls as i could never afford to buy them myself and have always loved them!!!

I am sure you'll get it all sorted, and have a wonderful day!!

My hair is down - my friend lent me a beautiful clip but you need to wear it at the back of my hair and I feel like I need something at the front once the veil is off.........

If you have something at the back, you don't need anything at the front, that will let you have a little more elaborate necklace

It wouldn't work ... I have no control,I've ordered the headband and earrings I loved. My excuse is that it'll be nice to have sparklier ones at night and my plain ones through the day!
