Help me pick a veil!

Icklefee, 19 June, 2013 at 14:03 Posted on Planning 0 15

I managed to pick my dress and shoes with no drama whatsoever. I knew what I wanted, I found them with very little effort and I bought them. All well within budget so I was a happy bride-to-be. I was determined I didn't want a veil until I started trying them on, and now I want the biggest, puffiest veil I can find! but how big is too big? I'm only little but I did try on similar styles and they did look lovely.

I have my shortlist and the first is my definite favourite but I can't help wondering if it really is over the top?

    oh, if you insist ?

excuse the dodgy "looking behind me in the mirror face" . This veil was about the length I want but isn't "wow" enough for what I wanted with such a plain dress.

I think you could pull any of them off (lovely dress!) - the top one and the last one are my faves.

I think you go for what you want everyone is different. Saying that I think you would really need to try them on with the dress. I was told a veil has to complement your dress not take the attention away from it.

By the way check out the tan lines on the model note to self strapless top if sunny on the run up to the wedding.

? I never noticed them before! I was too busy being in awe of her perfect fringe and wishing mine sat like that!

I like the third one - I think it's about the right length for your dress but since your dress is fairly plain you could have a veil with some crystals or rhinestones in it if you want to bling it up a bit.

    I like this from Etsy

The style is quite similar to the first one

I think they all look great, but the puffiness of the 1st and 3rd ones would look really good with your dress (which also looks great!)

I love the third one just because it has a proper shape about it.

I love the first one and also like the third. The second one looks like it just hangs, I'm not too keen on it to be honest.
