It's always really hard to make a list of songs when you're actually trying to do so. What I sometimes advise is for people to just scribble songs that they like as they hear them, on the run up to the wedding.

I'll be publishing lots on this topic (song ideas, dj play lists, etc) here over the coming weeks and months, as there seems to be a big demand it: Wedding Entertainment Blog

My registrar said we could either provide a list of songs we like, or they would just shove some easy listening romantic stuff on to break the silence.

we were at the registry office to give notice, and there was a wedding going to start as we were leaving - the registrar had already put on her simply red CD....

something tells me we'll provide them with a few boring love songs - anything's better than simply red!
