HELP - Party Bags for babies and tweens!

LeicesterBride, 13 August, 2012 at 13:19 Posted on Planning 0 4

Right, I've been so well organised with party bags for the children (different for girls and boys, ages 2-4 and 5-8) but haven't really considered what I can put in party bags for 0-2 yr olds.

There'll be 3 x girls - 6, 10 and 15 months, plus a boy of 7/8 months.

Any ideas, please?!

In additions, we have 11 8-16 years olds. We didn't want to get each of them a disposable camera (our first idea) but what do we get them...if anything? They'll be on their own table, because we thought it'd be nice if the parents had a breather and the children had some independance).

Eek - such an oversight, and we're a little over 5 weeks away! HELP!

Cheers

I really struggled with the smaller ones (2 year olds) so they have just got a little wooden puzzle, a soft toy and a story for their parents to read to them. As for the 3 babies (all under 6 months), well sorry but i haven't got them anything! Decent baby toys are expensive and at that age they are mostly intersted in their mums! I've spent ages putting together 14 party bags for kids of various sexes and ages so I really hope they (or at least their parents) appreciate them!

I would have thought the parents of the under 2s would bring something to keep them amused like a book. I certainly would.

Our oldest child will be 8 & they will probably have the same as the others (wedding sticker books) although she may help her younger sister who will be 3. I don't think I'd get anything for a child much older than that, certainly not a 16 year old. They are plenty old enough to behave like an adult & not need entertaining.

I agree with this - we also have two 14 year olds and I am not getting them anything, we're treating them like adults so they get the full adult meal - I think most teenagers appreciate being treated like adults.

I personally wouldnt bother getting the babies anything. I too was going to suggest bubbles or a colouring book for the 2yr old if you must get something.

Cant the teens get the same favours at the adults? Do they need something to keep them amused? They are more likely to be tweeting/facebooking on their phones if they get bored.
