Help please!!

MrsLove, 1 August, 2011 at 20:52 Posted on Planning 0 21

Ok so this may seem trivial to some but to me it is very important right now!! I get married on Friday and have today noticed some spots appearing on my chin....the way my spots work is that they appear in an angry lump that lasts a few days then the head appears - which will just be in time for the wedding!!! Is there any way I can bring the spot to a head earlier so that it is pretty much gone for Friday or get rid of the lump without it resulting in a spot?! I do not suffer from many spots so would be bl$$dy ironic if I have a whopper on the pics ? TIA

Try toothpaste. Seemingly dries it out. or witchhazel.

It will be stress that is bringing u out in spots so the more you stress the worse they get so try not to worry nout it.

Im sure ur make up artist will work wonders if the toothpaste don't work, lol

Enjoy ur wedding when it comesQ

If nothing else works, your photographer will be able to edit it out of your official album photos with absolutely no trouble at all. It's a very simple task.

I use Tea Tree oil, get it from Bodyshop which does the trick for me! I have the tea tree concealer for during the day and then put tea tree oil on it over night. My spots usually come out like that too, they're nasty!

Thanks for all your replies. I am not having a make up artist, am doing my make up myself but I had a professional do a trial on me and I bought good stuff which should cover the majority of the spotty area, the problem will be the 'lump' which will stand up! My dad is my photographer and he will deffo be able to get rid of any spots on the pics but I still don't want all my guests to see it and the children (which I have had before) saying 'WOW you have a big spot' lol.

I shall try the witch hazel and tea tree oil and hope that one of those works!! I know it is my fault as I am a stresser, but with 4 days to go don't think I will be able to stop the anxiety so hope that there are no more breakouts now!! ?

Could you steam your face, to open your pores? I usually find that that brings out any spots.

I've heard that Freederm will reduce swelling and redness, but is just the same as a home made asprin facial (I think Enterflora posted how to make it).

I've got some over the counter stuff, and it's helping so much - it's called Panoxyl 2.5%. Started that on Wednesday and so much better now. 100% happier.

I get a liquid thing from the docs. I can`t remember it's name but it is a little white bottle with a sponge applicator and it has iron and zinc in and it is ace! Not very useful but I`m sure if you go to the docs and say all this they might get the jist of it!

Sudocrem! I swear by the stuff. Put a big blob on it over night and it sorts it right out!

    Toothpaste works better than anything!

Put it on the spot before you go to bed and it will dry it out.

I recently discovered Savlon for spots. And now i keep wondering how i didn't think of it before. I've heard great things about Asprin Masks, but i've yet to try it myself. I've not had any major breakout's that i felt needed it yet.

Be careful not to dry it out too much as your make up will go flaky around it. I use savlon to hep bring the spot out and it keeps it moisturised and the redness to a minimum too.

Thanks again girls!! I have been using a face scrub and not wearing make up on that area - at home all day so doesn't matter what I look like haha!! I found some clearasil spot cream that I am using at the mo but will possibly try the toothpaste/savlon ideas tonight if this stuff doesn't work. Fingers crossed it either goes or comes out soon as I have 3 days to go!! ?
