HELP PLEASE! Reception music and table plan frame

charlottelucy, 15 July, 2012 at 19:47 Posted on Planning 0 3

Evening ladies

Does anyone have any recommendations on good compilation albums we could play in the background during our wedding breakfast? We want something quite current with a few famous oldie songs chucked in? Was planning on making our own but dont think we are going to have time to sort that now on top of everything else!

Also need a frame for our A1 tableplan, want something cheap as we will take the glass out of it so we can embellish with diamantes etc and glass will flatten in, any recommendations? Ideally under a tenner...

thank you! x

Try dunelm mill. Our table plan was A2 I think and we got a silver frame from Dunelm for £6. We also got our table number frames from there as well. Cost £16 for 7 frames

I have an old Ikea frame (they still sell them) not sure if it is A1 though, the frame at the moment is orange just goind to cover/paint the frame. I also have diamontes on mine but I have left the glass in as it has the bend clips on the back, that way i know nothing will move.

    Hello Charlotte,

Does your budget stretch to having some live music for the reception? You could tell the musician(s) what styles of music to perform and just leave them to it! Live music always goes down well and the advantage of having professional musicians is that they can judge the atmosphere, size of the room etc and play music which is appropriate.

If this is not an option for you then you can have a look at this list of songs here

It is quite hard to find compilation albums which have mainly current songs with some oldies chucked in. You'd be better off finding separate albums and creating one large playlist. It's quite a bit of work to sort out though and I don't know how pressed for time you are.

Good luck with your wedding preparations.
