Help please! TOG let us down - can anyone help me find a new one?

Hello all,

Havent posted for a while, but I really need your help. We were meant to be meeting our TOG in 2 hours for our pre-wedding shoot. He has just text to cancel. I don't like that he text and did not call us and this was the only chance for us to meet him before the wedding as he is busy and so are we. OH took the day off of work and I had my hair done last night ready for it. I'm now really upset and I am wondering if I should look elsewhere. I am getting married in less than 2 months in the 2nd June so I need help in finding a decent TOG who is free that day. We want more informal style than traditional wedding photography and a 2 person team if possible.

Hope there is a HIB or someone who can help me.

    Firstly, do you know why your tog has cancelled today ? it might be weather related ( depending on area). IMO it would have been more professional to call you and not text so I can see why it has left a bad impression on you. Call the TOG and ask for an explanation.

    Which area are you in ? this might help with recommendations if you really want a new TOG.

    Sorry to hear about your TOG.

    When we were looking we used http://theweddingsearch.co.uk/ which is a database of photographers. You put your wedding date in and location and a list of available ones in your area come up.

    Sorry to hear this, I'm booked then so can't even offer to cover it but, cancelling by text is BAD and a big red flag.

    You know, pick up the phone etc.

    But, that aside, he may have a boy who's been rushed into hospital or something and as a result had no choice but to text. Wait 24 hours for a call to apologise for cancelling along with an explanation...if one doesn't surface walk away.
