    I am going to say....yes

Maybe you could go for a dress with a sash and have the sash tie it?

I am having black and white and bridesmaids are wearing Black. This is quite a comman colour choice now though. What colours have you got in mind?

    Hi and welcome to Hitched.

I would say yes too, but it can be done in a really subtle way. What ideas have you got so far?

I'm going to be the odd one out and say no it doesn't have to. My bm dress is probably going to be a greeny, silvery colour (it's too hard to describe) which goes really well with my h2b's tartan and I might use ribbon the same colour for the cake but apart from that the colour won't feature in many places. We are both having callas in an off white colour and again ribbon the same colour might be used to cover the stems but I've not really thought about it. Our venue provide flowers for the table decorations so we are limited to what we can have (which suits me as then the decisions are much easier) and since using flowers in the bm colour would probably be pretty hard I'll just choose colours that compliment everything.

I'm having wine charms as favours and the organza bags for them to go in will be a champagne colour to match my dress. The chair sashes will be champagne as well so the colours all tie in somehow but not necessarily to the bm dress.

I guess I'm just doing everything quite neutral instead so nothing clashes but doesn't all match the bm dress.

I agree with PG. Although I suppose it depends what colours you're talking about. My bm's are wearing black. Our venue has quite neutral colours, although it has some scottishy touches, some tartan etc and they advised certain colours to go with the room - purples, dark greens, heather etc - so thats what I'm going with for flowers. So far I don't think I'll be tying the black in with anything else, although as PG also said I may have black ribbon round their flowers

We're having a black and white theme too, so to make it most effective our BMs will be in black prob with white sashes. Black organza chair ties and black vases and black favour boxes.

But I think you can just go for a more neutral colour scheme as PG said, where everything ties together but isn't all matchy-matchy
