Help settle my nerves please...

ClaireJ, 2 February, 2009 at 13:12 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

After being made redundant last Monday, I have a fantastic interview lined up this afternoon. The problem is that I have put so much pressure on myself for this that I am now in an absolute panic about it, I can't think of a single intelligent thing to say and I'm unbelievably nervous, I can't remember the last time I felt like this...

My stomach is full of butterflies and I'm sure I'm going to blow this as soon as I walk in the door

So hitched, please help a hitcher in need and tell me how it'll be alright? [hopeful icon]

<Soothing noises> You'll be fine. Take a deep breath before you go in, take your time with questions and listen to what they're saying and it will be fine.

    Good luck!

Thanks so much both of you! I think i've smoked a pack of 20 this morning with the nerves (oops!)

What's stressing me out even more is the fact that as it's a massive civil litigation firm, the agency told me to make sure you put your best suit on as appearance to clients is very very important to these people. So i got my hair done this morning, make up is at the ready and bought a new suit & shirt....which seemed perfect yesterday....but now i'm panicking that it looks all wrong, what if they think i haven't made enough effort, what if they think i've made too much of an effort...aaarrrggghhhh, i'm driving myself crazy here!
