Help - table number holders too flimsy, 4 days til wedding.

victoriamarie, 17 July, 2011 at 19:24 Posted on Planning 0 6

I bought these table number holders off ebay last week:

I only tried them out tonight with my home-made table numbers today and they are too heavy for them, they just topple over when I attach them.

My table number cards are less than a5 but I stuck card back-to-back to make them double sided so that is where the weight is coming from.

I'm not sure what to do at this late stage, if i order more I may have the same problem! Any ideas?

Just to add I cannot remake the table numbers as I've ran out of supplies and would not have time to source them again.

Have you tried using Blutac on the bottom to secure them?

Or try putting them into Jars filled with sand or pebbles.

Do you definitely want tall ones?

Hobbycraft have small low level ones, little cubes and balls etc. Only a few quid each and you could resell them?

All the smaller ones I've seen online say they are for place card names, if I think they can support the table numbers I think my best bet is to order something online with express delivery. Can't really get to nearest hobby craft without a car.

I thought of blue tac but not sure how it will stick to the tablecloth.

I like Sherries pebble idea otherwise try blue tac on a saucer or a peper cone inverted around the bottom to create a wider base
