MrsCroucherToBe, 6 August, 2013 at 16:55 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hi There!

So my colour theme is yellow however I don't want my bridesmaids in yellow, I found this picture (below) and love the colour the bridesmaids are in but I'm not sure what colour to call it? Its got too much warmth to it to just be grey?! PLEASE HELP! xxx

It's more a deep champagne or mink, almost. I'd put in the brown tonal range, rather than monochrome.

Dulux paint charts may be your friend!

Champagne, taupe, mink or various coffee colours that designers would use- capuccino, latte etc!

If you search for "taupe", bottom left is a pretty good match.

In the midtones it's Pantone 7529C

    http://www.e-paint.co.uk/Colour_alternatives.asp?cRange=Pantone%20C&cRef=7529%20C&metallic2=False

    It's being called Natural.

Dessy have something going on with Pantone colours. TBH though, this is dress stuff and I have obsolutely no idea beyond that.

It is impossible to tell from that picture as the one you supplied is way off from a neural colour as the whole thing has a yellow/red cast, I'm sure that the original photographers colours are perfect but along the way they have gone way off. So once in photoshop and the colour cast removed the dresses do look more of a grey -perhaps due to an iridescent shimmer in the material they can catch the light as a Grey/bronze
